«In Between » Nr. 2/6, with my beloved Guadalupe. Lajatico, Tuscany, 2021. I exhibited four originals of this series at @instantart_exhibition in beautiful @iconoclastesgalerie in Paris last week. Thank you to the curator @herr_merzi for selecting my work! I will be showing those for photos as large prints at an exhibition curated by @ares_contemporary at @atelier_viandanti in Lugano, Switzerland, from December 9. This series is meaningful to me, I named it « In Between » because it’s about darkness&light, about the deepest pain and about the beauty that brings consolation. We shot this series last August, shortly after my mother (and Guadalupe’s grandmother) had passed away. In deep grief, we decided to still travel to this place that feels like home. It was a time of sadness&comfort, a time in between. Thank you to my dear @abarbafieri for always welcoming us in Lajatico. And thank you to all who came to see me at the exhibition in Paris!

They say that just before you die your life in its entirety flashes before your eyes. But what if this flashing is less of a flash and more of a vision. The conscious mind falling away just enough for you to experience things as they really are - an entirety of being, a continuous experiencing energy, totally whole and infinite... All that ever was ever is ever will be. Past potential future. Close your eyes and feel the flash. We carry within us infinity.
