Let this question sit with you Today. Are you a trusted adult? No fr. Are you having open and honest conversations about sexual health, shame, stigma, questions that young people may be scared or uncomfortable to speak about with their peers?

Yesterday we hosted a session with @sfyuthe about sexual health and the takeaway for me is that social media and music is where the youth get their info about sex. It's up to us to teach our youth that it's okay to not know, that they have safe spaces to talk without judgment, shame, or fear. We set these examples by having conversations with them and with each other about boundaries, safety, self respect, worth, and physical and mental health. All of these things empower us to make informed decisions about our bodies and to lead by example.

This weekend was about wellness in every form, from physical wellness, to economic wellness, and even creative freedom, conversation, healing, connection, and utilizing spaces together. 🤲🏾🌞

Even with last-minute obstacles and outside forces attempting to limit how much space we could hold, the community still showed up for one another in a beautiful way.

From movement sessions at the community rec center across the street, to local vendors, DJs, organizers, artists, conversations, laughter, and people simply being present with one another, this felt like a perfect reminder that wellness is collective. Wellness is access. Wellness is being seen. Wellness is having room to breathe, create, grow, and exist fully as yourself. ✨🧘🏽‍♀️
