🔋 This interactive workshop will explore how solutions journalism can move beyond its traditional long, in-depth, slow-journalism format and adapt to the reality of short attention spans, social media, and audience fatigue.

Drawing on @rubryka's Ukrainian experience, Anastasiia Rudenko @afrudenko, CEO of Rubryka, and @maryna_smahina, chief editor at Rubryka, will guide participants through practical ways to turn complex solutions stories into reels, carousels, explainers, and other short formats while preserving depth, evidence, limitations, and trust.

💙💛On July 14, Kyiv presented the information and communication campaign #ThoseWhoSupport. The campaign aims to raise awareness of and trust in Ukraine’s civic sector. Five organizations are taking part in the communication campaign: YaMariupol, DonorUA @donor_ua, Hurkit @hurkitua, Field Kitchen B-50 @polyova.kuhnya, and Happy Paw @happy_paw .

The campaign comes as Ukraine’s civic sector faces growing challenges, including reduced international funding, public fatigue, and widespread misconceptions about how NGOs operate. Organizers hope the project will not only increase trust but also encourage more Ukrainians to engage in civic life📝

👩🏻‍💻Speaking at the launch, Rubryka’s @rubryka / @solutionsfromukraine founder and editor-in-chief Anastasiia Rudenko @afrudenko urged organizations to proactively share their stories with the media, emphasizing that visibility helps strengthen both public support and long-term sustainability.

🗣️"Do not stop proactively sharing your newsworthy stories. As people who work in solutions journalism, we are constantly looking for doers. And gatherings like today’s, the contacts being made here, are one of the very important sources. But in fact, proactively pitching what you do is number one," Rudenko said.
