First event of the year truly filled my heart and soul with joy!
The energy was beautiful, the boards were fun but it’s truly powerful when strong badass women come together!

KHMER NEW YEAR MEET AND GREET SUCCESS!! ✨

Throughout the evening, I occasionally looked out into the crowd with 60’s Khmer music in the background at all of you mingling, laughing, and getting to know one another, and felt so incredibly proud. When was the last time you felt that our community was really taking a step forward? That different individual people in the same city are coming together for the first time to fill a deeper sense of connection and community.

Thank you so much to @lulamaenyc for hosting us, @_dancooksfood for making us the tastiest fried wings, bartender Oso who made the BEST gin dirty martinis, and the lovely company and community we built along the way. Camila and I absolutely loved hosting a space where good food and long overdue conversation can be had amongst our own people.

My personal journey of finding my “khmer-ness” hasn’t been smooth sailing, but for 4 hours on a Thursday night, i truly felt like I belonged. It was beautiful. We deserve these spaces for us. And luckily, this only feels like the very beginning. 🥹

Take me back to NYC 🗽🌆 It was amazing to see @justinnozuka on stage again for the Daydreams & Endless Nights tour at Gramercy Theater 🖤 You know I had a good time when I’ve been spending all week replaying it in my head. More of these kinds of experiences please.
