Super excited to announce my upcoming one week XR workshop at Bauhaus University’s White Week:

Ｄａｎｃｉｎｇ　ｗｉｔｈ　Ａｖａｔａｒｓ：　Ｃｒｅａｔｉｎｇ　ａ　Ｃｏｍｍｏｎ　Ｂｏｄｙ　ｉｎ　Ｖｉｒｔｕａｌ　Ｒｅａｌｉｔｙ

🌈 Brief: Together, we’ll embark on an embodied journey inspired by Oskar Schlemmer’s Triadic Ballet and explore the art of collaborative creation in virtual space. Together, we’ll participate in a dance workshop with @vivianadefazio, craft virtual avatars, model wearables, and even prototype physical objects, to shape our shared hybrid identity. Throughout this week long collaborative process, we’ll immerse ourselves in the magic of 3D modeling using @gravitysketch, full body tracking @manusmeta and auto rigging @adobe.

🗓️ Date: Monday, 11.12.2023 – Friday, 15.12.2023

🏛️ Institute: Emerging Technologies and Design @bauhausemtech, Prof. Thomas Pearce @pearce_thomas

📍 Location: Aquarium, Bauhaus University Weimar @bauhaus_uni, Germany

💜 UNFAIR23 💜

I have been living under a giant 🗿 the last couple of weeks, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I worked the last 1,5 year on UNFAIR23 and now we’re opening in less than a week (Thursday Nov 16 at 17.00 at the Gashouder, be there or be ▪️).

It has been amazing working with all the artists towards their solo presentations [check out the full line-up at www.unfair.nl] and the whole unfair team.

Below there’s a few highlights I’m very excited about. Hope to see you there, go buy your tickets now! UNFAIR23 16-19 Nov, Gashouder <3.

1. Setting up a collaboration with @san.serriffe who curated a selection of artist publications.
2. Working together with the lovely @wakulicoffee team, who will have a coffee bar at the fair.
3. Dreaming up a space for people to chill together with @julielynneweber from the cool @fussypeople.eu.
4. Talking all things natural wine with the boys from @sebonsa.ams and having them back for another year with a wine bar.
5. Getting together with @tatjanaalmuli and creating a talk programme that’s she’s moderating at the fair on Nov 18.

Plus many many more exciting things (Cheese! @fromagerie_kef, an official after at @kanaal40, next level nail art by @glazedsalon) come check it out! 💥

I was deeply moved by these messages and the story of two visitors who found love in the world I created while coping with the loss of those I loved.

𝓡𝓱𝓮𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓵 𝓑𝓸𝓭𝓲𝓮𝓼 virtually connects two dancing bodies, translating their movements into sounds and transforming their physical forms into interactive embodied synthesizers. Through this immersive XR experience, you can explore the impact of seeing, touching, and moving your own material body in virtual reality. Rhetorical Bodies invites you to challenge the limits of your bodily boundaries, navigate the fluidity of your identity, and begin to delve into the realm of your virtual selves.

This collaborative extended reality (XR) installation got exhibited as part of 𝐻𝓎𝒷𝓇𝒾𝒹 𝒯𝒶𝓁𝑒𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝐻𝓎𝒷𝓇𝒾𝒹 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒𝓈 from 7 July 2023 – 26 August 2023 in Eindhoven @mu_hybrid_art_house and as part of 𝒩𝑜 𝒟𝒶𝓃𝒸𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒜𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓌𝑒𝒹 from from 6 June 2022 – 20 November 2022 in Vienna @q21_vienna.

1000 thanks to all the people who came and danced with each other, to all those who helped, guided and supported creating Rhetorical Bodies and to Angelique Spaninks @aqmu_eindhoven and Bogomir Doringer @bogomirdoringer for trusting me to develop the work.

Letting go of my granny, my love, my home, my studio, moving, moving, and moving again, led me to create a collaborative XR experience that invites two people to playfully connect and merge with each other and the world surrounding them. Fluid, like air and water, moving on and letting go, Rhetorical Bodies sets us free from visual boundaries and expectations ~ let’s dance together through each other’s presence! 💕

Thanks to all the amazing fluid souls who’ve been part of this adventure ~ can’t wait for the next one!

There’s a whole universe of er()tic content out there: some good, some bad, some meh. Schmutz Cinema knows excellent p()rn, and we want to share it! Expect a programme of six short films that will inspire your er()tic imaginations and rekindle curiosity and play. Let’s celebrate intimacy and fun as essential parts of our mental and physical well-being." Schmutz Cinema is an initiative of @joshua_nieli and @maxi_meissner, supported by @getcheex.
