Today, the Center was delighted to welcome Nathaniel Harris, a Recovery Support Specialist at @some_dc, who shared a bit about his recovery in this morning's Peace Circle.

Nathaniel's visit kicks off the beginning of a new partnership between SOME and the Father McKenna Center that will provide the Center's clients with access to recovery support specialists like Nathaniel who will provide group and individual support in the journey to sobriety. Additionally, this partnership will help coordinate access to SOME's substance use, mental health, and housing programs for guests at the Center.

We are looking forward to this exciting new beginning as we continue to deepen our partnership with SOME!

Creating spaces where our people feel connected and supported is an important part of who we are, and so is giving back to the communities we’re a part of.

Each year, our team comes together for Days of Giving to make a meaningful difference across the greater Washington region, volunteering our time to support organizations doing vital work in our communities.

This year, we supported A Wider Circle, Comfort Cases, Food & Friends, S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat), and Women Giving Back.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give our time, support our community, and come together as a team.

Giving back by serving nourishing lunches to those experiencing homelessness and poverty—alongside amazing colleagues—is a rewarding win!

Proud to be part of a company that is committed to giving back to the communities where we do business!

We've been thinking a lot about how we can show up more for the communities we're part of: Washington DC and Santa Fe.

So here's an open invite: if you're a nonprofit or charity doing meaningful work in either city, we'd genuinely love to hear from you. We're looking to support and sponsor organizations that are making a real difference, whether that's through partnership, funding, or just getting the word out.

No ask too small. If you know an org doing good work, tag them below 👇 Let's help each other out.

📩 Reach out and let's talk.
