That annoying person that sees something and immediately says “I Can make that”, and actually does it. That’s me 😂

Quien dijo miedo? A reminder of how injustice and advocacy always run, parallel, and the same timeline, and it just takes courage to cross the lines and stop the cycle if only for a moment.

Interpreting and animating this video of Abeja for Musiana was one of the most cathartic experiences of my life. My iPad was maybe 1 week old, I’d never made a digital collage animation, and I had no magazines… and frame by frame a meditation emerged amidst a collection of crucial moments in history @kaepernick7 , interwoven with metaphors to mobilize radical care. 🐝

In the age of Ai 🤖, of generic “creative” output, I look at human generated art with its shortcomings and mistakes… and the most beautiful thing about it is the vulnerability, the playfulness, the imperfections and choices that reminds me that connection has always been the goal, not perfection.

First 3 weeks of Miamibloco season are giving back so much love already: closer friendships, tighter sounds, impecable Saideiras.

So grateful for all we humans create when we put our commitment behind the work, not the hype.

Somos Miami, Bro!

Community is an act of interdependent accountability. ♥️🥁

The beauty of questioning belonging and place-making is that it contains many right answers.
