Apparently my version of “kinda chic” is just how I’ve been running my business all along ☁️

I’m not here to force perfect smiles, limit your gallery to an arbitrary number, or show up, take the photos and disappear.

I want the chaos. The in-between moments. The real connection. I want to get way too invested in your business ideas, watch your family grow, become someone you’re excited to work with again, and create something together that actually feels like you.

Because apparently building a business around connection, collaboration and making people feel seen is actually kinda chic✌️

At the time, I was building something with a business partner that I genuinely loved.

We had ideas.
Vision.
Passion.
Momentum, technically.

But behind the scenes?

We were spinning our wheels hard.

Trying to market too many things.
Build too many things.
Be too many things.

And at this retreat, a group of women lovingly called me out on it.

Not cruelly.
Not dramatically.

Just honestly.

They reflected back what I couldn’t fully see yet:
That the way I was building was unsustainable.
That I was stretched too thin.
That a lot of what I was doing was no longer aligned with where I actually wanted to go.

Honestly? It took me six months to fully process that conversation.

Because sometimes the truth lands immediately… and sometimes it slowly rearranges your entire life in the background.

Eventually, I made the hard decisions.

Not because I stopped loving the people involved.
Not because the original vision was bad.

But because I finally admitted it wasn’t the path I was meant to keep forcing.

That shift changed everything.

The Flourish Circles were born from that season.
And now… the Flourish Retreat.

That’s the power of intentional rooms.

Sometimes one conversation changes your direction completely.

Not because someone tells you what to do.

Because they help you finally see what you already know deep down.

[Byebye 2025] Can’t believe we are signing off 2025 already.
From my kitchen, to farmer’s markets; I’ve learnt so much in just a year. I’m grateful for the opportunities and encouragement from all of you, fans of True Delite. Not to mention, Hannah, Mary, Jill and Grace to complete my gift sets in such short notice. Every support means a great deal to me and I’m grateful for your generosity in helping me grow and True Delite’s success. #endofyearrecap2025

Flower

This flower is beautiful. Each petal a single piece of wood allowing for grain direction and a cool texture. This one’s a bit different with the flower sitting higher than the background.

I’ve included the original image - thank you @something.foraged for the great inspiration.

Today, on International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the power of connection—the way women uplift, support, and inspire each other every single day.

Behind every successful woman is a community of other women who cheer her on, hold space for her dreams, and remind her of her strength.

So today, let’s take a moment to appreciate the women who have shaped us, challenged us, and walked alongside us in business and in life.

Shout out to all the amazing women on the retreat this past January!

Tag a woman who has empowered you and let her know how much she means to you.

Let’s spread love, gratitude, and inspiration today and always!

The secret to long-term success (that we don’t talk about enough)… 👀

A few years ago, I hit a wall in my business. The kind where you stare at your laptop, knowing there’s work to be done but feeling completely drained.

It wasn’t a lack of ideas. It wasn’t even a lack of clients. But I was lacking something essential: a strong community.

At the time, I was coming back from “maternity leave” after my second baby. I was done with wearing all the hats and figuring everything out on my own. The sales were coming in, but after parenting two young kids through a pandemic while running a business… so was the burnout.

Then something changed.

I started intentionally surrounding myself with people who got it—fellow business owners who had been in my shoes. Who didn’t just celebrate the wins but held space for the tough days. Who reminded me that this journey isn’t meant to be walked alone.

And the ripple effect?
✨ Consistent referrals from people who trusted me
✨ Support on days when I felt like burning it all down
✨ Insights that saved me years of trial and error

Because here’s the truth: Your biggest asset isn’t your product, your service, or even your strategy. It’s the people who believe in you, support you, and amplify your message.

If you’ve been trying to do this all alone, consider this your invitation to lean in. Nurture your network. Show up with value (not just noise). Build relationships—not just transactions.

Because business isn’t just about making money. It’s about creating something that lasts. 💫
