Chris and Brianne, at Omni Rancho Las Palmas, a few minutes after Brianne told me she’d never done this before and had no idea what to do with her hands.

“Hold his hands,” I told her. Something small, something to focus on besides the lens. She stopped thinking about the camera and started actually being there with him, and that’s the exact moment this photo happened.
