Konark Sun Temple — Where the sun turned into stone.

The Konark Sun Temple is a monumental 13th-century architectural masterpiece dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya.
Located on the coastline of Odisha, roughly 35 kilometres northeast of Puri, it represents the absolute pinnacle of Kalinga architecture. Commissioned around 1250 CE by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty, this iconic complex was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
