Honrando a Nuestros Ancestros puts focus on our beloved family members who died in their struggle for a better life, for fairness, land justice, tending to our Mother Earth,
dignified housing, cultural worldviews, for historically accurate education, and for peace of mind. We are against past and
ongoing colonial injustices that take away our land resources that have displaced millons of communities and impacted our mental health. We oppose
gentrification that displaces small, mom-and-pop business and the ongoing colonization of the world! This is what our younger generations are facing. Honrado a Nuestros Ancestros will
be for life, justice and against (colonial) gentrification.

SAVE THE DATE Sunday Nov 1st 10am-6:30pm This year we collaborating with @coyotl.macehualli and implementing educational workshops that will encourage conversations that deepen our
understanding of our current events to take action towards a better future . If you are interested in volunteering for this event, we especially
need help with face painting and bringing food, fruit, and drinks.

Nothing beats an afternoon of Son Jarocho in the park. Good friends, jaranas, laughter, and a few versos shared under the trees remind me that this tradition is all about connection. Every song brings people together, and every fandanguito keeps our culture alive. Until the next one. 🎶🌳🇲🇽

Resistance can manifest in many different forms. The battles can be fought on the front lines or in the streets, from the town halls and across the kitchen tables. The strum of the guitar, the click of a shutter, and the stroke of a pen can be used as weapons for those who dream of a better life.

As history has taught us, they will try to terrorize and intimidate us using propaganda and political violence. They will try to demonize us and try to erase our culture. But we will not fold.

We will fight with our minds, we will fight with our hearts, and we will fight with our souls. We will fight with the joyous smiles and the dancing feet of our elders… Those bastards don’t stand a chance.
