$Review: The Witch of Ware Woods by Sonja Blanco Genre: YA /Fantasy 5/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Witch of Ware Woods is less like a story you simply read and more like a place you quietly return to—again and again—drawn by something half-remembered, half-felt. Ware Woods itself becomes the beating heart of the book. It isn’t just a setting; it breathes, watches, and whispers. Blanco writes the forest with such textured intimacy that you can almost feel the hush beneath the canopy, the weight of old magic in the soil, the sense that every path holds a secret just for you. If you’ve ever longed for a place that feels both sheltering and untamed, it’s Ware Woods. At its center is Sara, an eighteen-year-old who has always known she is not normal—but not why. As her inexplicable power begins to surface beyond her control, her life fractures under the weight of loss, fear, and the sense that something dark is hunting her. When she finds refuge in Ware Woods, what unfolds is not just escape, but revelation. Sara doesn’t simply learn she is a witch—she begins to understand that her magic is something deeper, more dangerous, and possibly tied to a fate the forest itself cannot ignore. Her journey is one of testing and transformation. As an outsider, Sara must prove she belongs among those who have long protected the woods, all while hiding the very force that makes her different. There’s a constant tension between control and surrender, identity and fear—especially as a fatal prophecy and a creeping blight threaten everything Ware Woods stands for. What makes this book resonate so strongly is how it honors connection—between people, between past and present, and most beautifully, between human spirit, the natural world, and the magical world. Blanco doesn’t rush these bonds; she lets them grow slowly, like moss creeping over stone, until you suddenly realize how much they mean. By the final pages, you’re left with that rare, quiet kind of ache—the kind that only comes from leaving somewhere you never quite wanted to leave in the first place and a place you definitely want to come back to! The greatest part is that you know… Sara’s story is only just beginning! 🔥 #fantasy$
