Maaaan I don’t have much BTS from over the years but I appreciate what I do have. These two shoots bring back so many memories. I was really out here just trying stuff for the love of the craft. Not just to get paid but because I truly fell in love with film at a young age. Lord willing, I can’t wait to share all that I have been working on as I’ve grown and improved over the years. Thank you Lord for being here every step of the way! #BVF26andBeyond!

✨ THAT’S A WRAP! ✨

What an incredible week! 🎉 The 2026 Empower All Summer STEAM Camp has officially come to a close, and what a journey it has been! 💛

This week, our young innovators imagined, created, explored, and engineered their way through hands-on STEAM experiences that challenged them to think differently and solve real-world problems. From designing animal habitats, tackling the Community Power: Bring Back the Light Challenge, creating innovative solutions during our Tech for Good Challenge, exploring science through Soccer STEAM Challenge and the Great Escape - NC Museum of Natural Sciences, to building, testing, and persevering through Engineering Challenges, and finishing the week with dance, music, and interactive art—our campers proved that curiosity truly creates change. 🚀💡🎨⚽

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing camp counselors and leadership team for pouring your energy, creativity, patience, and passion into every single camper. You created an unforgettable experience and inspired the next generation of scientists, engineers, artists, mathematicians, and innovators. 💙

A very special shoutout to our incredible community partners who helped bring STEAM to life:
🧠 Dr. Scholar– BrainSTEMology -🧪 Molecule Designs
🦖 Michael Lewis – Museum of Life & Science
🏛️ NC Museum of Natural Sciences
🎧 Ava Seenarine – DJ Basics: Five Elements of Hip Hop
⚙️ Dr. Nehemiah Mabry – Engineering Float Challenges
💃 Mrs. LaLa – Right Moves Dance (Breakdancing)
🎨 LA Chesson – Interactive Art

Your time, talents, and commitment to our youth made this week truly unforgettable.

To our campers—never stop asking questions, solving problems, creating boldly, and believing that your ideas can change the world. 💛

Ahoskie has a new mural! Created by our very talented local artist @sonofsimba , this mural tells a story of imagination, learning, opportunity, and community. Every color, every figure, and every message represents the bright future that exists within the youth of Ahoskie.

What makes this project even more special is that it was shaped by the voices of our community. Thank you to everyone who shared ideas, provided feedback, and helped envision what this could become. This mural is a reminder that when we come together, we can create something meaningful and lasting for the next generation.

As our youth walk through these doors, walk into the rec gym to play basketball, or take the field to practice football, we hope they see themselves reflected in this artwork to dream bigger, reach higher, and know that their community believes in them.

Special thank you to @sonofsimba for bringing this vision to life and helping transform the Ahoskie Youth Center into a place that inspires creativity, hope, and possibility.

The future starts here. Imagine more. Create together.
