To mark @abdollah.nafisi’s debut exhibition, we’ve created a limited run of woodblock prints and cotton t-shirts featuring the artist’s handwritten statement, I Can’t Meditate.

Designed and printed by Alex Booker, the prints are made using traditional woodblock printing techniques on Japanese Hosho paper and cotton t-shirts.

On the back wall of I Can’t Meditiate sits Slow Return: Into the Green I, a landscape wall-based sculpture.

In this work Abdollah Nafisi showcases his practice of transforming discarded industrial materials into striking, painterly compositions, exploring the relationship between material, time and nature.

The bends, textures and shapes exhibit the carving and reworking of these heavy metal sheets as Nafisi gives new life to once abandoned materials, their structures softening, gradually returning to nature.

Thank you to @siggartfoundation for generously loaning us this artwork for the duration of I Can’t Meditate. The Foundation’s collection also includes Nafisi’s Neighbours I: Silence (2025), first presented publicly at @friezeofficial Sculpture in London by @fatosustek, and now situated within the landscape of the Sigg Art Foundation residency in Le Castellet.

It’s been a month since the first edition of the Food Art Fair (@foodartfair) where I was invited by the wonderful Giuseppe (@maisongb) to lead on public programming for the weekend. After a few weeks of intensive planning, it was such a joy to see everything come together in what I can only call a massive quirky and crazy celebration of all things food!

Some glimpses from the very full workshop programme I curated:

Each workshop was distinct in style and structure and brought together interdisciplinary practitioners with varying degrees of experience and as a result we had a diverse and incredible engaged group of participants across the board.

Six years ago today, Laura Groves shared the video for ”Infinite Wisdom“, the opener of her A Private Road EP.

Shot during the 2020 lockdown, the video clip was filmed by Groves alone at home on DV, then sent off to visual artist Sophie le Roux, who edited and animated it remotely. The distance ended up being the point. Groves drifts through grainy domestic footage, flashes of colour and shifting layers, and it lands somewhere between a home movie, a dream and a memory that’s already starting to fade.

Groves has said she liked how the process mirrored the way the music came together: mostly on her own, with other people stepping in at certain moments and changing what was already there.

She’s described the EP as both a portrait of her inner life and an imagined soundtrack to moving through the city: late-night trips across the river, wrong turns, desire, mental dead ends, places that seem to exist halfway between the real world and your own head.

As solitary as the song feels, she wasn’t entirely on her own. Fabiana Palladino sings backing vocals and Ben Reed plays bass, while Groves handles the production, engineering, guitar, keyboards and programming herself.

A few photos from Food Art Fair earlier this month, where I showed Ex Voto.

For this series of work, I gathered fallen branches in the countryside, wrapped them in dough by hand and baked them, then stood them in old clay vessels I’d been collecting.

What draws me to bread is that it’s the plainest thing you can make. Flour, water, a little salt. And yet nothing was ever held more dearly. That’s what Ex Voto is, an old form of offering, made from whatever there is and then left.

It was lovely to be in a room full of people doing such different things with food. Thank you @foodartfair and @maisongb for having me, @_ladbrokehall for the space, and all the team for your work to make this happen @ananyajainn @fevbuchanan @druvduggl

photo dump from @foodartfair last weekend! first-ever in london showcasing all about food hosted by @maisongb (and incredible team!). Had so much fun and met so many cute, inspiring and creative people who share the same passion💐

soooo grateful to work with @humakabakci @mia__wilkinson on this quirky & bold ‘breakfast in bed’ corner, making exclusive fig jellies specially for this collab x

had a little bar stall serving some sweet treats and brought pistachio panna cotta (in eggshells) & lychee jelly cubes to the table. when I was thinking about the menu, first came into my head is finger food with a more organic look and feel. and i feel like… eggshells could be such a nice little vessel for the panna cotta, while lychee itself already has such a beautiful shape and texture. i hope everyone enjoyed the bites! <3
