I absolutely love a fake dating scheme! I think my favorite set up is when its to solve a crime or a cover for an investigation, but there are just so many other great reasons! I'm also partial to fake dating for social media, especially when mixed with magical/space sports. But then there is always the classic "My parents won't get off my back, come home with me for Christmas." Oh, and of course "Help me make someone else jealous."

I love that no matter how it starts up, eventually we have that delicious moment when fake becomes real and they realize they have FEELINGS. *gasp*

Not to be confused with Marriage of Convience, fake dating (or marriage) usually has a specific goal in mind and an end date. At that point they will go their seperate ways and there is absolutely no way this could back fire!

#QOTD - Do you have any more recs with this trope? Especially genre, but I love it in all its forms!

I have read a lot of these but not quite all. Some are still on my TBR.
