The Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of @malie.thaidining located at 50 S County Commons Way, Unit E1 in South Kingstown. Ma lié Thai Dining brings a refined perspective on Thai cuisine to South County Commons in South Kingstown, building on the foundation of the former Tong Ta Thai Restaurant. Led by a chef recognized with one Michelin star, the restaurant pairs traditional Thai flavors with contemporary techniques and thoughtful presentation. Drawing on training at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and experience at Hakkasan in Dubai, the chef creates a menu that balances familiar favorites with inventive dishes inspired by Thai culinary traditions and global influences. A little taste of Thailand has arrived in Rhode Island! Ma Lié Thai Dining is bringing a contemporary take on Thai cuisine to the area. Ma Lié means jasmine flower in Thai, and you can even smell the jasmine as you walk around the restaurant! Chef and owner Mark brings his Thai roots and experience from a one Michelin star restaurant in Dubai to the menu, featuring locally sourced New England ingredients and housemade sauces to customize the spice level. The dishes are beautiful, but the flavors are what really stand out! It’s fine dining without the formal atmosphere. Their grand opening is Saturday, October 17th.
