Fiesta was incredible! We celebrated alongside 30 NLP families who prepared and served dinner, were supported by 25 amazing volunteers, and raised over $100,000! 🎉

A special thank-you to @southfellowship Youth and the @missionhillsco Women on Mission for helping with set up and decorating!

From our volunteers and sponsors, to our donors, guests, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for showing up, giving generously, and being part of the NLP community. Your support is greatly appreciated, seen, and valued.❤️

“The pain you have been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.” Romans 8:18

There is so much purpose to the pain. You just have to be willing to get back up and keep fighting. -Shawn Johnson

The last couple of months, we’ve talked about incorporating Arapahoe FCA into our trick or feed since you all are unable to do one this year on Halloween. We’ll be meeting at Powell Middle School from 6:30-8:30 and will disperse from there into the neighborhood.

God is moving in unique ways in both Aurora and Littleton, and we are in awe of what He is doing across South Denver. ✝️ Each community has its own story, but what unites us is even greater — Jesus. Just as He knows each of us personally, He is working powerfully in every school, every huddle, every church, and every family.

The pictures in this reel are from both nights, and you can see the unique ways God is moving in each area. From stadium bleachers to prayer circles on the field, to 16 baptisms celebrated under the lights, we witnessed schools uniting, churches partnering, and lives being transformed by the Gospel.

Across both nights we celebrated:
✨ 30+ first-time decisions to follow Jesus
✨ 100+ students rededicating their lives to Christ
✨ 16 baptisms on the field

It’s moments like these that remind us of His bigger story — a story far greater than any one event. 💙

And through it all, we are humbled to witness student-athletes, parents, churches, coaches, and volunteers gathering with one heart to make Jesus known and glorified. 🙌

The High School Mission Trip to Costa Rica was both incredible & life-changing!! We were blown away by the relationships that were formed between South Students and Comunidad Nexo as we lived life together, learned what it means to be disciples who make disciples, held two outreach events and served the community in San José together!

Yesterday’s breakfast: three strips of bacon, two bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios and one bad cup of coffee.

Soaking up the morning rays in our new backyard, I watched a ladybug trail blades of grass, with the hum of the freeway behind our house.

The cicadas were out the last time we were here. And it feels familiar and unfamiliar all at the same time.

We are now in the U.S. for a few months, settling into summer rhythms:

🧢 Summer jobs
🚲 New bike parks and hikes
🚗 Driver’s licenses
🥰 Meet-ups with old friends

And the rare gift of 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 for a few unprecedented weeks.

Before landing in Colorado, I spent a few days at the World Without Exploitation conference in D.C. I was hesitant about going - but found myself surprisingly at home among survivors and lobbyists- movers and shakers on the other side of the world.

It reminded me of how 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦-𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦. 😛 Trafficking survivors are a wild mix of unfiltered and inspiring—tough and tender, raw and radiant.

One woman was quickly moved to tears when I asked her about the 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 on her phone. Immediately taken back to the moment she uttered a desperate prayer, and Jesus so tangibly answered - finally finding an escape from the life of violence where she was trapped.

The last few weeks have been a blur of festivities and fundraising, finishing up last minute projects and family transitions. And I’ve been waiting for the final numbers to trickle in before giving you a final update on the #50for50 campaign.

With 19 new monthly donors, yearly pledges and generous one-time gifts, 𝙬𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 $26,464.26!! 🎉 Together with Project Suma’s Spring Campaign, we reached 𝙖 𝙘𝙪𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 $42,464.26 in annual giving - far exceeding our expectations!!

Thank you for reading, interacting and giving - for caring and showing your support. It’s not only encouraging, but literally carries us as we continue to serve. Thank you. 💛
