Got Dan Dan noodles, Salt and Pepper Wings, Ube Rice Crispy from South Sichuan at their new location on Spring Garden. The portion size was massive. It can feed me for 3-4 meals. The Dan Dan noodles were super flavorful and bouncy. I added meat but next time I don’t think I will. The meat is a little too crumbly for my liking. The wings were crispy and big. Not the best salt and pepper wings I had before but nonetheless very tasty. The ube rice crispy was a very nice dessert. I will be back to try other menu items.

I finally stopped by South Sichuan - their new location in Spring Garden and now I understand the hype. The Dan Dan noodles absolutely lived up to their reputation—rich, flavorful, and the perfect amount of heat. Their dry wok string beans? Certified addicting. The spicy cucumbers were fresh, crunchy, and packed with flavor, while the wings came out extra crispy without sacrificing any of the seasoning. And of course, the beef did not disappoint.

The best part? They can turn the spice up or down depending on your tolerance, so whether you’re a spice lover or just getting introduced to Sichuan cuisine, there’s something for you.

I’ll be back soon.
If you’re looking for a quick dine-in spot or an easy takeout order that actually delivers on flavor, put this one on your list. I’ll definitely be back for those Dan Dan noodles and string beans alone. 🔥🌶️
