A beautiful two-day celebration for V&A at @solageauberge this past summer. More and more of the celebrations I photograph have become multi-day events, and I absolutely love it. Having that extra time allows me to really get to know not only my couples, but also the friends and family who mean the most to them. If you’ve worked with me before, you know I make it a point to learn every single person’s name in the wedding party. It may seem like a small detail, but it changes the entire dynamic. The moment you can greet someone by name, there’s an immediate sense of familiarity and trust. People relax. They stop feeling like they’re being photographed by a stranger, and they become more comfortable simply being themselves. That’s when the real personalities, interactions, and little in-between moments start to come through, and those are always some of my favorite photographs from the weekend. Sneak Peek of Ivan & Alexis’ wedding day 🤍 One thing about Filipino weddings, we know how to throw a party! 🎉 From arcade games that brought out everyone’s competitive side, a Vogue-inspired photo experience, endless boba milk teas, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night, Ivan & Alexis made sure every guest felt part of the celebration. Of course, none of it would have run this smoothly without the dream team behind the scenes! @oso_events keeping everything beautifully organized, and a DJ (@blansang )who somehow got every auntie, uncle, cousin, and friend dancing like there was no tomorrow. 💃🕺 Congratulations again, Ivan & Alexis! Euphoric is the only word for Ashli and Vash’s wedding weekend in Calistoga. Over multiple days, they wove together Indian and western traditions into a celebration that felt entirely, unmistakably theirs, surrounded by the people who matter most. During the Indian ceremony, a kind relative took it upon themselves to walk me through the significance of each element, what to look for, what it meant, why it mattered. Their guests were as warm and generous as they were. And during portraits, Ashli turned to me mid-shoot and asked if I was having fun. If I needed anything. In the middle of all of that beautiful chaos, she paused to check on me. That moment said everything about who they are and exactly the kind of love that defined this weekend. Two unforgettable days with V&A at Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection. By the end of the weekend, it felt less like documenting a wedding and more like being welcomed into a gathering of lifelong friends. Family and loved ones traveled from all corners of the world to celebrate them, and somehow those two days passed in what felt like a single moment. Every detail carried meaning, from the beautiful attire thoughtfully brought from India to honor the groom’s heritage, to the countless moments shared between generations of family and friends. But what stood out most was the way they made people feel. For two days, i watched them move through every conversation, every embrace, and every celebration with genuine warmth and gratitude. They weren’t focused on themselves. They were focused on the people who had shown up for them. Those who loved them enough to make the journey. During the reception, the couple took time to thank every member of the vendor team. Not because they had to, but because they wanted to. In the middle of one of the biggest days of their lives, they made sure the people around them felt seen and appreciated. And maybe that’s why they are so deeply loved. Not because of what they have accomplished. Not because of the beautiful wedding they created. But because they have a rare way of making everyone around them feel valued, welcomed, and cared for.
