one of my candle lanterns out of @forest_floor_pottery ‘s recent @eastcreekart wood fire. 🔥 juicy and satiny yellow bronze matte all at once and I love it! scroll past the video to see stills all around.

no music accompaniment because the birds are singing their joyful spring songs. today is a positive day for several reasons. 🤞🏻🤌🏻🎉 more on that later.

after two kiln unloads this weekend, we visited the PDX Kiln Yard at St John’s Clay Collective to check out their gas kiln. it’s a super chill space where we felt welcome, and we’re stoked to join a fire soon! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

when you’ve both been spending every day in the ceramic studio, prepping for the first spring wood fire:

I just asked Jason to choose a bottle of wine to open, and he walked off to the wine area saying “we have this Kristy Lombard…” when he meant Patty Green.

spent the day raku firing with @eastcreekjoe and @schrottceramics and now I have a NEW pottery fascination.

I glazed some pieces (first image here is shiny copper!) and I applied horsehair to others, and I cannot wait to do more of both!

great heaps of gratitude for Joe and Sam for your guidance and knowledge; you made today incredible.
