Tonny (played by Mads Mikkelsen in his feature film debut) wearing a pair of Ray-Ban Orbs Axis in “Matte Arista” in the 1996 Danish crime film Pusher.

Pusher follows the exploits of a low-level drug dealer in Copenhagen, Frank (played by Kim Bodina), and his sidekick Tonny. It portrays the depraved criminal underworld of the Danish capital with a stylish and gritty realism. This resonated with audiences at the time as the film would become a source of style inspiration for young Danes in the 90s.

Tonny’s shades serve to punctuate his expressive wardrobe, one that reflects a crass personality with a potentially lethal undercurrent. His flashy Ray-Bans and layered sportswear are juxtaposed with a skinhead haircut and scary tattoos that tell you he’s not the one to mess around with.
