POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As I enter an opening week for ALBA at @pbdramaworks I am feeling more grateful than ever because this year I have had multiple opportunities to play REAL LIFE strong, Miami women.

This year so far, I’ve played
- @gabrielconte mom in @dyingforlovefilm (Set in Miami 1992).
- @sandra.portal.andreu mom in Cinco y Sueños (Set in Miami 1995)
- and opening this week ALBA by @adventureswithalej (Set in Miami 2001)

It is an honor to have been given the task to play such pivotal women in my colleagues/friends lives, I don’t take that responsibility for granted. It fills me with joy and pride to tell the incredible and inspiring stories of my colleagues and their families both on screen and on stage. Stories drenched in love, Miami and Family!

Pictured here are some behind the scenes of
CINCO Y SUEÑOS written by @sandra.portal.andreu of @portal.andreu productions
Directed by the AMAZING @spazos

This short will be making its debut in festivals soon, you don’t want to miss it. Until then, be sure to catch ALBA at Palm Beach Dramaworks opening this FRIDAY for an incredible Miami period story LITERALLY ready to make you laugh and cry! (Message me for discount codes)

Congratulations to CMU MFA Directing alum Samantha Pazos on her first week of rehearsals as the SDCF Observer on Lincoln in the Bardo at The Metropolitan Opera!

Over the next few weeks, Sam will observe acclaimed director Lileana Blain-Cruz throughout the development and rehearsal process, gaining firsthand access to the artistic leadership and collaboration behind this new opera. SDCF Observerships provide emerging directors and choreographers with a unique, production-long opportunity to witness the full journey of a production, from first rehearsal through opening night, while learning directly from some of the field’s leading artists.

We are so proud of you, Tartan!

🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES | 1 of 4

A glimpse behind the scenes of Cinco y Sueños as we stepped inside the Hernández home, the heart 💗 of Camilo, Ana, Lucía, and Danny’s world.

Between takes, camera setups, rehearsals, and all the moments in between, this home became so much more than a location. It became a space where the Hernández family began to take shape and where so much of the heart of our story lives.

Here’s a little look at the people and process behind bringing that world to life.
