#AboutLastNight 🎧 THE ART OF BEING AN OPENING DJ. I actually LOVE being the opening DJ. I get to set the tone for the amazing DJs coming after me. Most DJs hate opening, but I believe there’s an art to setting the vibe correctly. I’m TRUE SCHOOL. I was taught that as an opener, you NEVER try to outshine the headliner, even if you’re the better DJ. It’s called PLAY YOUR ROLE. Now, the beauty of opening at my own event is that I can play whatever the f*ck I want and see who’s vibing with me. 😂 One of the biggest mistakes I see DJs make is trying to KILL the headliner. You can try all night, but remember, THEY CAME TO SEE THEM, NOT YOU. A great opener understands timing, selection, patience, and how to build energy without peaking too early. THE ART OF OPENING WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER DJ. Stop getting upset when somebody asks you to open. Trust me, it’s one of the HARDEST JOBS OF THE NIGHT. Take advantage of those opportunities. Learn how to read the room, control the tempo, and prepare the crowd for what’s coming next. ANYBODY CAN TRY TO STEAL THE SHOW. A REAL DJ KNOWS HOW TO SET IT UP. #DJCulture #TheListeningXperience #DJsMatter #TrueSchool

#GoodMorning #HumpDay One thing life has taught me is that peace is more valuable than popularity, and purpose is more important than approval. Too many people spend their entire lives chasing money, trying to impress people, and looking for validation from individuals who wouldn’t even show up when it matters. I’ve reached a point where I don’t need everybody to understand my journey, support my decisions, or recognize my value. I’m not chasing acceptance. I’m protecting my peace, enjoying my life, and moving with purpose. Time is the one thing we can’t get back. Spend it wisely. #LifeLessons #ProtectYourPeace #Growth PurposeOverPopularity

#GoodMorning Almost a year ago, I stepped out on faith and created @thelisteningxperience, not knowing exactly how I was going to pull off a WEEKLY EVENT. I knew I could curate something special once a month, but every Tuesday? I knew that was going to be a challenge. But I had a vision, and I was determined to see it through. #ChasingMyDreams I prayed on it, and within weeks, God started bringing the right people into my life to help turn that vision into reality. Now, almost a year later, I look back and realize I NEVER COULD HAVE DONE THIS ALONE. I’m not going to start naming people because I don’t want to leave anybody out. But YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. You’ve been there every step of the way. Through the planning, the challenges, the long nights, and the moments when we didn’t know how everything was going to come together. I want y’all to know how much I genuinely appreciate you. One thing this journey has taught me is that sometimes you have to step out on faith before God shows you how it’s all going to work. What started as a dream is now approaching its first anniversary. THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO HELPED ME TURN AN IDEA INTO AN XPERIENCE. 🙏🏾❤️ And we’re just getting started. #TheListeningXperience #ChasingMyDreams #Faith Gratitude
