“Sometimes we don’t drive because we have somewhere to go. We drive because staying still feels impossible. The road gives our thoughts somewhere to travel, the engine gives our emotions a voice, and for a little while, the distance between where we started and where we are going becomes the space we need to understand how we feel.”

A bit about me, and why suddenly car photos instead of my usual content.

Well, I’ve loved cars since I was a little girl. My dad was always in the garage, fixing up something. I would squat down beside him or block his way while he was changing the oil. He worked on a lot of Subarus back in the day.

We always bonded over cars and art (and obsession of tea)—but mostly cars. It was our thing.

After he passed away, I lost a little piece of myself. And that little piece was my love for cars.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love cars and admire them all the time. Just… not quite in the same way.

I know we never really lose our loved ones. They always remain in our hearts, no matter what.

I guess all I want to share is a little bit of that vulnerability with the world. No lesson, no deeper meaning, nothing like that.

Just a little bit about me.

Also- I’m also very happy I got to have this opportunity to shoot one of my high school dream cars. Daydream about that Queen Suki life for a bit.

Thank you @spec.ap2 for taking the time and patience while I shoot your car.

And also @han_lien ❣️
