A while back, I played a small hand in helping Gregory find his latest canine, Mace, through the Hotel for Homeless Dogs and now he’s returning the love by putting my own 4-legged friend alongside the Chrome Crusader himself! 23 years ago today, @jmthiphop (@boxcutterpazzy / @stoupe215) dropped an absolute classic. Truth be told, there would be no @GraphiteRiot without this album. This album is a definitive hardcore hip hop CLASSIC. The rhymes were angry, aggressive, the beats were dark, yet super catchy. The album’s title was a spin off from one of my favorite hip hop songs, “Affirmative Action” by the Firm (Foxxy’s lyrics). And, At the time, there was not much else out like it, it fit my style perfectly (and my anger towards the world as a young 15/16 year old kid.) so i cannot thank @boxcutterpazzy enough for dropping this amazing record.
I always go back and forth between loving this #jedimindtricks album the most, and #violentbydesign, to me, both albums are flawless and define true, hardcore hip hop.

25 years ago today, @cormega released his classic debut album #TheRealness independently on #LegalHustleRecords and distributed by Boston’s own #Landspeed. A true classic and one of the first successful artists to start to lay down the independent blueprint. Cover art by @spec.i.men.studios’ own @trevorkarmagendron - artifacts courtesy of him as well.
Some gems from the 25th anniversary capsule are still available at @spec.i.men.studios (see the last slide), and as always, salute to #Cormega.

Beyond Honored to have been chosen as one of the winners of the @spec.i.men.studios and @graphiteriot giveaway of a signed special limited edition collectors card of the 25th anniversary of the certified street classic album #TheRealness by the God @cormega who’s music I’ve been bumping since the 90s‼️ Thank you for showing love and sending the extra stickers as well. This will definitely stay in the collection till it’s passed down to my kids. Much Respect to all parties involved in bringing this timeless piece to the HipHop heads that love the culture, rep and live it everyday. Peace 💯🫡

I Got My Cormega The Realness Trading Card in The Mail today. I got number 22/250. I was One of The selected Winners for The Giveaway. What made it so Special to Me is The giveaway cards was not supposed to be autographed but Cormega indeed autographed them. I Am so ecstatic. I am a BIG Cormega Fan I have gotten his autograph countless times but every time I get another item autographed I feel truly blessed to have One of My Favorite Artist’s autograph. This is going to go right into My Cormega Collection. I want to give a shout out to @cormega for autographing The cards that was supposed to be giveaway’s. It really means a lot to me that you took time out of your day to sign these as well. Mega You’re Truly The People’s Champ.
