Six months ago, SOAI was just an idea (no pun intended).

Now it’s a room full of people watching our first animated short together.

Here’s what that journey looked like.

🫧FULL STEAM AHEAD🫧

🩷🐟Chapter 10: I get to be a Sardine Devotee🐟🩷

Never thought that I’d be in THE SpongeBob Musical so soon after starting my theater career. When I saw there were auditions, I knew I had to go. I had initially planned to stop performing for a bit, but I couldn’t say no to SpongeBob😅Met some cool people. Learned a lot. Even crazier, this is the first time I have speaking role! Also a couple of solos?? Insane. So scary but so worth it. What a wild ride, Binkini Beach🤪

We named our sardines🥹Mine? Her name is Spritzy🫧She was the breath of fresh air I needed at the time. My floaties, my bubbles, my sweet friend. She taught me how to find wonder in the littlest things. I’ll try not to forget that. I miss the times we had. Forever in my heart, my passionate friend. Don’t think, praise pink🩷

Thank you to my amazing cast for such a fun run! Proud to have shared the stage with y’all! Remember to stay true to the binkini beach way!🫡To my fellow sardine devotees, thanks for playing with me😊🐟🩷

Thank you Daniel, Sonya, Bradley and Anthony for teaching me so much and for giving me the chance to play! @danielnakawatase @shuggielr @bradleyscotthampton @a_lo_bopz

Thank you to our crew especially because y’all saved our butts more times than I can count, despite being small in numbers. From speedy wig changes to stolen tambourines to dodging Sea Star fans to silly mic checks to throwing boulders, y’all are real ones🤪

Also, fun fact, but I helped put up some of the LED strips for this show! Thanks for all the fun, Heather! @heather_harhar💡

Till we meet again! Yo Ho!☠️

After months of missed beach days and poorly timed pizookies, I’ve finally gotten my call back from the Cypress Spob crew and earned my place in the ensemble. You know game night must have gone well when they let you guest star in the group chat, even if @whoishermie wiped the poop deck with all of us. I just wish Siren’s second belated birthday celebration hadn’t had to double as @spekz.exe’s bittersweet farewell tour. It’s already starting to feel like No SpongeBob Day.

Cinderella’s Castle at the renfaire 😎
(These are from a little while ago but seeing Kai post more renfaire pics reminded me that I still needed to make my own post)
I got asked if I was Despereaux about three times, and yknow what? I expected more. Might need to be Despereaux next year now.

Kicking it with the Black-N-Animated crew at All Season Brewery! Although I wasn’t able to join them at the Aaron Blaise master class this weekend (since I found out about it too late lol) the after party still gave me a chance to network and share interests and laughs with other like-minded creatives! I’m working my way, slowly but surely!!! 😁😁🎬🎬🎨🎨✍️✨✨

Finally posting some of my favorite non-professional SpongeBob pics that I said I would post like a month ago.
Every day I wish there was a cast recording of this show. Would put that on an MP3 player for fun and vibes.

Hoodlin Mania: Mind Control was different.

Over 50+ people came together and poured their time, energy, and resources into building something real. From the visuals to the games, animation, merch, and everything in between… this was a full world brought to life.

Proud of the team that made this happen. This wasn’t easy, but we made it work.

And this is just the beginning.

We’re building this into an annual takeover, where everything Hoodlin comes together under one roof… gaming, animation, toys, content, merchandise, and more.

We’re only going up from here.

Stay tuned for what’s next from the Hoodlins.

🫧 Sooooo Deeeeeep 🫧

It has officially been a month since SpongeBob closed at Cypress College and I don’t think I’m ever going to recover from it. I am so incredibly grateful for the chance to be a part of this show and it has been such a dream show of mine for a long time. In all honesty, if I was offered any role in the future, I would have to go back to being a sardine because they’re so insanely fun and the amount of lore the devotees made together is just something that cannot be outdone. Spongebob ensemble has gotta be one of the most elite ensembles a show can have.

Thank you so much to @ryellazarphotography for these stunning production photos!

I will be making another post soon with some of my backstage and rehearsal photos so be prepared 😉
(I intended to make my SpongeBob The Musical post much earlier than now but my original draft disappeared)

🧽🫧: 3/3
It’s been a month since we closed the best show ever and I wanted to close out celebrating the best cast ever. I wish I had the ability to relive every hug, every pre-rehearsal DaVien run, every pizookie, but these little photo bubbles will do for now. 🫧

I’ve never felt so supported and included in a community such as this little corner of the ocean floor. I knew this eclectic bunch was special right from that first audition. Every little conversation I had, whether it ranged from less than a minute of complimenting our fits to an hour long parking lot yap, I savoured every little bit of your stories. I am in love with each and every one of your radiant energies that are permanently tattooed into my hippocampus. 🪸

Thank you for being a safe space to allow me and hopefully many others to be 100% themselves around. Thank you for dealing with my constant “can we do this for marketing” and reminders to take care of yourselves. Thank you for every checkup and apology after “blame the squirrel” (yes I am still ok hehe). 💌

I will forever say it, this was one of, if not, the most perfectly cast shows I’ve witnessed and it’s thanks to the encouraging and passionate nature of each citizen in Bikini Bottom. We did alright for a couple of goofballs. I’ve fallen in love with you over and over again and I can’t wait to see what we can do next. Y’all sure are beautiful, I’ll miss this show the most of all.
