From January-March I had the honor of being an Apprentice Artist at @sarasotaopera ! The twenty image and tag limits can’t hold all the wonderful memories and people from those months (there may be another throwback post soon!). It was especially an honor to be part of Mo. DeRenzi’s final season in Sarasota (and to sing the Messenger in ‘Il Trovatore’ under his baton). I also got to revisit New Hope Valley while covering Elder Gleaton in ‘Susannah’ with Mo. Downs. Throw in 3 Verdi scenes with stellar colleagues, Mo. Pak, Mo. Downs, and Mo. Teani and my head and heart are full of Verdi! I can certainly say that I love opera more than the day I arrived! Oh, and I have a new motto, “Better precise than a mamaluke” (but you’ve gotta imagine my accent when you say it!

Looking back with a nostalgic feeling and a smile at the wonderful three months in Sarasota. What a time it was. Thank you, my beloved colleagues (absolute sex machines), for unforgettable memories (pictures of elite sigma apartment 306 included). It is time to make a gremlin step (who knows - knows 🌝) further towards next adventures 🏰

$Thus concludes this chapter @sarasotaopera . I feel tremendously thankful to have been a part of this historic season for this company. I feel I have grown my love for opera, further deepened my knowledge of the art form, and strengthened my resolve to do more of it. Furthermore, the growth I feel towards community and humanity I owe in great part to my fellow soldiers, street vendors, ‘friends from other nations’**, and congregation*. Indeed, the friends I made along the way. Thank you all so so much.
