Ever heard a song that instantly takes you somewhere else? A memory. A place. A feeling you can’t quite put into words. That’s the kind of connection we love about trip hop. It’s the shadowy atmosphere of Portishead. The deep, immersive sound of Massive Attack. The unconventional spirit of Tricky. A world where beats, emotion and texture matter just as much as melody. And it’s not just nostalgia. If you love atmospheric electronic music, downtempo beats, alternative sounds or discovering music outside the mainstream, there’s something here for you, too. Come experience Trip Hop Radio LIVE in Toronto. Handlebar October 19 | 8 PM Final live edition of the year. Come be part of it. What song takes you somewhere else? SAVE THE DATE! Episode 02. Thank you to the artists and for all of you who came out to support us! We have a stacked lineup for you in this edition. Technologic is a monthly live electronic music night at The Wych in Toronto. We’re building a space where electronic music can be experienced as something more than a DJ set or a night at a club. Technologic brings together live electronic artists, producers, DJs and music lovers to discover new sounds, dance, connect and experience music together. Our programming moves across electronic music. From house and techno to trip hop, downtempo, electro and leftfield sounds. Because great electronic music doesn’t need to fit into one box. The monthly event is intentionally affordable at $10, because discovering great music shouldn’t require a big night out budget. Our next Artist lineup will be revealed soon. @wychto @technologicto #TechnologicTO #torontoelectronicmusic #torontolivemusic

WHAT IS TRIP HOP? Imagine hip hop beats, deep dub bass, soulful vocals, jazz influences and atmospheric electronic sounds coming together in one cinematic experience. That’s trip hop. The sound took shape around Bristol, England, in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. Artists like Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky helped bring it to a wider audience. It’s music for late night drives, dimly lit rooms, introspective moments and dance floors that don’t need to rush. Never heard of trip hop? Perfect. Come discover it for yourself. Already know the sound? You know exactly why we’re doing this. Trip Hop Radio LIVE Handlebar, Toronto October 19 | 8 PM Our final live show of the year. #TripHopRadio #MassiveAttack #Portishead #TorontoEvents
