Truro you absolute beauty! Thank you so much to everyone at the incredibly beautiful @hall_for_cornwall for last night’s ‘Aristocracy & Ambivalence’. It was a classic tale of secret Mancunian identities, Lady Chatsworth the unparalleled artist’s muse, planking, & quite a lot of pickleball. There was a moment where it looked as though Mr Lance was headed to the guillotine after being bewitched in that tiny wendy house! But the Soolivan brothers were not to be beaten, and in true Austen fashion an Oasis honey trap saved the day! 🎶 With thanks to the brilliant team at Hall for Cornwall and a special shout out to @theoldalehouse and Snake Oil for the after party 🤘 On Friday we head to Manchester itself! And then on to York, before returning to the Vaudeville on Monday. We hope to see you there!

Last night we shared Austen’s lost novel ‘A Most Improper Amount of Cheese’ 🧀 with the good people of Exeter. The Cleverly sisters are struggling to maintain their goats cheese business with their one old non-binary goat, Balthazar(a), The Ashfords have moved in to town from London and intend to buy as much real estate as possible, Mr Simon 😮‍💨 Simon longs for pastures new and Rev Roberts finds his micro-church on dodgy ground. There’s plenty of big cuck energy, slam poetry, a two-pew, Borough Market success, a meeting amongst the stalagtites and stalagmites and livestock of indeterminate size. Thank you for joining us! We’ve saddled our horses this morning and make our way to Truro for tonight’s show - perhaps see you there! We’re back in the West End in less than a fortnight as well as visits to Manchester, York, Brighton and Norwich. May our paths cross at the soonest of opportunities, dearest readers 📚

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳 Delighted to be back at the Vaudeville theatre tonight to begin our Spring run of shows in London. The stars aligned for a retelling of ‘That’s the way- aha aha- Jane likes it’ ~ the tale of the Casey sisters, Anna & Jane, and their desire to find a a suitable ride despite their Mother’s disapproval. A story filled with artisanal chairs, ditch law, laser quest, hay holes, Masterson’s stamina, ventriloquism, Nana-Horsey-Nana, creaking floorboards, the wound of a ghost, a shared kidney, and of course The Beeeeeeeeeeaaaad 🪑 Here’s to you finding your perfect straddle in life. 🥂
