POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Never in my wildest dreams when I was a little girl wandering through @forestlawnbuffalo with my grandmother did I imagine I would get to guide people through it on chilly October nights to get in the Halloween mood.

Shout to @huntythehorrorguy @karma.vonhauswolfe and @simons_mommy for snapping photos (because I never remember to do it myself)

Tonight was the perfect spooky night for a Crime & Catastrophe Lantern Tour at Forest Lawn, walking through the crunchy leaves and hearing about crime and catastrophe that featured people buried right here in Buffalo was so cool. @spookeats is a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the events she hosts. #forestlawn #lanterntour #cemetery #ghosts #thesixthsense

We are beyond thrilled to share that @spookeats was awarded Amazing WNY Screenplay for Babysitting the Demons of Maple Street at @amazingfantasyfest!

Being the only woman nominated in either screenplay category was exciting… taking home the award was even cooler.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners at the fest… it is always a blast watching people create bizarre, thought-provoking, and beautiful art.

And an extra big thank you to Team Maple Street who breathed life into this story… without them, the demons on Maple Street would have just remained words on a page!

Finding people who read your script and believe in it enough to help bring it to life is truly a gift.

The encore screening of Babysitting the Demons on Maple Street was a blast and getting to see it on an even bigger screen was exhilarating!

Thank you to Greg and the team at AFF for including it in this year’s lineup (and nominating it for several awards!). Thank you to everyone who asked such great questions. And the biggest thank you to the cast and crew and everyone who helped support this short in any way… it would have just been a handful of words on a piece of paper without you.

@amazingfantasyfest continues to Thursday, September 17 at the @dipson.theatres

Third year at AFF and it never gets old seeing my name on a badge.

The world premiere of Babysitting the Demons on Maple was already better than we could have imagined… add on top of that an award from @valkyriefilmfest and we are over the moon!

Thank you to @kaelin_lamberson and @tamarlamberson for thinking our little short was worthy of an award… we had so much fun making it and it’s always extra special to see people’s hard work acknowledged.

We have two more screenings of Maple Street coming up:

@amazingfantasyfest in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, September 12 at 9:15pm

@pittsburghmovingpicturefest in Pittsburgh, PA October 2-4 (exact date and time TBA)

I am still on such a high from the premiere of my latest film, Babysitting the Demons on Maple Street. This has been a year in the making… I began crowdfunding and pre-production in August last year and to see it on the big screen with such a tangible reaction from the audience was more than I could have ever hoped. The audiences laughed, they groaned, and the applause for our amazing cast and crew made those long days and frustrations with locations and practical effects and scheduling all worth it.

Thank you to @kaelin_lamberson and @tamarlamberson for creating such a vital addition to the film community. Where movie making appears to be a boys’ club, it’s inspiring to see what women are creating.

@valkyriefilmfest continues this weekend through Tuesday. If you missed last night’s Maple Street screening, there will be another one at @amazingfantasyfest on Saturday, September 12th at 9:20pm 🪳
