Ante is Turning 4! 🥳

To celebrate the occasion we’ve flown over Guest Chef and Omelette OG, @matipichci from @amatorcph in Copenhagen (ex-Atelier September).

Mati and his partner Kim will be serving up a one-off brunch menu upstairs at SPRY on Sunday the 25th October from 10am-7pm. Expect sexy omelettes, cheeky breakfast cocktails, and some very special pour-over coffees!

As the icing on your day we are baking a big tasty birthday cake, so when you’re done with your fancy brunch up in SPRY, you can pop down to Ante from 8am-4pm to help us blow out the candles, one slice at a time! 🎂

Book a spot for your sexy brunch at @spry_wines online via the link in our bio 🔗

🍷 Spry 🥂

Spry, a regular haunt of this author, is a wine bar at the top of Leith Walk specialising in naturally made wines. An ever-changing food menu showcasing the best Scottish seasonal produce, Spry is great if you want to grab a few small plates or have a full meal. Maybe you just want to have a glass of wine after work, have a catch up with friends or take a date to - it works for many occasions. The minimalist interior, dimly lit by candles allows you to relax and enjoy the art of conversation over a good glass of vino.

Pics from the end of David’s birthday weekend which we spent in sunny Edinburgh!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿☀️🥂

We had some delicious food, lots of lovely drinks and saw two Fringe shows!! My favourite was Guy Branum’s show, he is so funny but it still felt really personal. I could have easily watched him for hours 🤩

Already looking forward to a longer weekend in Edinburgh next year 🥰

Some plates and bowls from Sunday at @spry_wines.

Thanks so much to everyone who came down, what a lovely day and evening - was great to get to chat to some of you at the bar.
A huge thanks to the team at Spry, expertly pouring wines and for being super sweet hospitality pros.

Dream day! Hopefully more of this to come soon! See you next time…

menu for SPRY this SUNDAY let's eat!

we've gone pretty old school, kept it pretty brown, pretty stodge, so much stew. shareable or not, do as you please, but probably do stick your napkin down your collar regardless. Lots of dishes that, we hope you agree, invite cheersing a glass of wine over. @spry_wines bringing in the big guns there and what better way to spend a slow sunday!

bookings available for lunch and for dinner - you can book via our bio. I've spent a lot of money on fancy grapes which claire isn't best pleased about but luckily i am much harder than her. Hope to see you there!

October in Edinburgh

It’s fresher outside and the nights are drawing in, but there’s still plenty of reasons to get out and about in Edinburgh.

This month we’re drinking £6 cocktails in some of the best cocktail bars in town, trying new restaurants for dinner, breathing in autumn on The Meadows and getting into the mood for Halloween. Blink, and it’ll be the run up to Christmas 🙈🌲

In the meantime, here are 13 things worth putting in the diary this October.

Ok folks!
Just a little Thursday afternoon sai ua to say I’d love to see you on Sunday. We are booking up pretty fast so if you even think you might be hungry between 1-8pm this Sunday, may I humbly suggest you come to @spry_wines? Have a beautiful glass of vino, delight in some incredible vegetables grown by @eastneukmarketgarden, be ecstatic at the fish and seafood from @davidlowriefish. Or don’t, that’s cool too. 🫶🏽
