“Catface Cafe lately” 🫶🏼 Today we wanted to share with our community some of the celebratory moments and behind the scenes that have made this place what it is. It’s all been a bit of a blur since our 2 year anniversary on March 1st, but that’s only because we’ve been busy having fun and enjoying it with all of you! So take a minute and see what we’ve been up to lately… New specials, new canned bevvy launches, some exciting events we haven’t even dropped yet 👀 and some really, really cool opportunities to support continuing education in the STEM field coming up this summer, which hits close to home for me so we are beyond grateful for the opportunity. We’ve also got some big changes coming to the menu! This one’s for the Home Video memory box 🥹- throwback to surprising our friends & family with the news that we are pregnant after so many years of trying. 🥰🥹 Going through years of infertility, I was so sad about the thought of not being able to surprise our family and friends- but in the end we still found a way 🥰 🎉. Even though all these people knew we were going through IVF, we purposely kept them out of the loop of the Transfer timing- saying it was going to be later that it actually was, leading to an unexpected surprise 🥹 Makes my heart so happy- those who know me know I love surprises and to surprise people ✨ We all can’t wait to meet you baby boy so soon! 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 ⁣ ⁣ Last week I had one of the longest days in months, but it was one of my best work days because of who my clients are. ⁣ ⁣ I got to get coffee with a friend/client before her appointment, and then she trusted me to design a haircut specific to her needs. ⁣ ⁣ My 2nd client took me hours, and she was incredibly patient as I had to recolor her new extensions because the purple I originally chose was far too bright. We went to @thegardenbarmaine for lunch to fuel up and keep pushing on. As a hairstylist in moments like this we do tend to beat ourselves up about how we could avoid mistakes like this in the future while trying to just get through the day. It’s helpful when clients don’t get upset with us and are patient during this process as most of the time we are already upset with ourselves. ⁣ ⁣ I also got to look out and see 3 chairs besides mine full with clients. That makes me happy as I have longed for that since I opened in November 22’. ⁣ ⁣ I will be out of work for 2-3 weeks after this week as I’m having a hysterectomy. I am unsure of what my recovery will look like and ask for patience as I heal.
