2025 proved that what we started in 2024 worked. We had a perfect season.

We built the Sharks around one idea: put the right people in the right roles and let them do what they do best.

Every roster spot had a purpose, every race had a strategy, and every athlete understood and trusted the standard. The players executed at an incredible level, and together we brought the first championship to the franchise.

With nearly 95% of our roster expected to return, we entered 2026 believing we could build on that success with the same #FinKrew.

We had no idea how different the journey would be.

Before the season even got going, life started changing our roster.

We faced injuries, unexpected personal circumstances, and some exciting news with new Baby Sharks on the way!

Throughout the year, eight players became unavailable at different points, creating a significant coaching challenge for a team built around specialists.

When nearly half of your original roster are in season-ending scenarios at different stages of the season, replacing names does not simply work in Grid. Every change affects race assignments, transitions, workload distribution, and how you utilize the players the rest of the season.

It meant going back to the drawing board, sometimes more than once, and finding new ways to maximize the strengths of our roster.

Thankfully, our players never backed down from the challenge.

Then came New Jersey at the @americandream, where we suffered two heartbreaking losses, both decided by a single point.

We finished the regular season 2–2 and spent nearly three weeks waiting to find out whether we had done enough to qualify for the playoffs.

A year earlier, we had experienced a perfect season. Now, despite everything our players had overcome, our championship defense was no longer entirely in our hands.

But throughout that uncertainty, our focus remained on being ready for the opportunity when it came.

Eventually, we received the news we had been waiting for. We were in as the 3rd seed, with three full matches standing between us and another championship over a 24 hour period.

We had earned another opportunity, and we intended to make the most of it.

All weekend long, the message was simple: find your two.

Every rep, every race, every moment was about doing our job and putting those two points on the board. We trusted each other, fought for each other, and when it mattered most, we finished it together.

2026 @unitedgridleague CHAMPIONS. 🏆🦈

Special thanks to @herdathletics and @athleticrecoveryservices two partners who helped keep our athletes healthy, ready, and in the fight all season. We couldn’t have done it without you. 💚

We are ONE. Fins up, always.
