My journey with JUDF has been nothing short of a beautiful, chaotic ride. I came here to dance, but ended up learning so much beyond the stage. There were rehearsals, performances, laughter, arguments, stress, and countless memories. Every practice taught me something new, not just about dance, but about people and teamwork. Being a part of JUDF has given me some of the most incredible people in my life. It wasn’t always easy, and there were definitely days when I questioned myself. But every challenge made the journey more meaningful. I’m grateful for every senior who guided me, every junior who trusted me, and every teammate who stood beside me.
I’m grateful for every stage that gave us a chance to show what JUDF is capable of. Most importantly, I’m grateful for the memories that I’ll carry long after my tenure ends. JUDF will always be more than just a dance forum for me, it will always feel like a little piece of home. And no matter where I go from here, a part of me will always be dancing with JUDF. Here’s to the journey, the people, and everything still to come. ❤️

Hello and presenting to you the official page for the first Afro Dance crew of kcity, 𝒯𝐻𝐸 𝒜𝐹𝑅𝒪𝒟𝐼𝒯𝐼𝐸𝒮 𝒞𝑅𝐸𝒲 !! 🌍💃

While this crew came together on one of my (@ig._rahee) whims and to deliver one single performance somehow we stuck by each other ever since. The most common aspect that held us together was our love and enthusiasm to show and represent the rich culture of Afro dance and the African community to the crowd of Kolkata.

The crew name ‘Afrodities’ is a brainchild of @rupkathaism2, it is derived from the name ‘Aphrodite’ who is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation, mostly what Afrodities stand for. Growing the team would be a difficult job if this woman did not support this venture through it all. She’s a very important part of this family.

And ofcourse it has been a very heart warming experience to be able to perform and spread this vision and love through dance alongside such beautiful beautiful women

Being a teacher helps you realize, no matter how dear you hold your students close, when it's their time to face the world, you gotta let them go. Each of them needs to walk through their own unique journey called life.

Through happiness and hardships, the only thing you can do for them is to stand behind them. Sometimes to catch them when they fall and sometimes to let them fall so they can learn from their own mistakes. 🫡🫣😅
