Beach Brawl with the girls 💫✨ Could not have asked for a better weekend. Everyone fully committed to their best effort while also having the most fun you can have competing. After getting sick earlier in the week and pulling out of individual competition the day before, I was prepared to be in my feels and a terrible athlete all day. Through the power of friendship and decongestants, that did not happen 😂. Thankful for the best team, the @blacklisted.hq community, @kylespears90 for coaching us all weekend (and the many years before), @beachbrawl for putting on another great event, and the sharks of Florida for kindly staying 200 ft away from us. 🥈place team,🥇place friends. 📸: @easemahcaptures

At the end of every athlete’s career, it’s not the accomplishments they remember most, but the relationships they made along the way. While accolades in sport are important, there’s no reason you can’t build strong relationships along the way. Blacklisted was founded to do both: give athletes the opportunity to compete and create lasting memories and new friendships. Here are a couple of photos and videos that capture the essence of our community Laura, as many of you know, tragically lost her daughter in June. Understandably, she almost walked away from CrossFit. Instead, as a testament to her character, she began training again in July. She has found purpose in competing to honor her daughter’s memory and share her story. A lot of healing took place this weekend as the community rallied behind her, wearing our Emma shirts on Sunday. You will always have a place in this brand, and we will do our best to keep Emma’s memory alive! #LLEP 🌺🌺🌺 @chackett92 and @cgarcia747 They met each other for the first time this weekend and battled back and forth, as they were in lanes right next to each other. Here’s a video of Christian smoking 240, with Chris following right up with 240 to tie them for the event. The high five at the end embodies what we are all about: seeing others succeed, as it only pushes us to get better ourselves. It is a weak ego that wants to see others fail for their own good. We have a bunch of healthy egos in this community—people looking out for the success of those around them, knowing it’s only going to make them better. We’re all about the dance parties too. After every lift Laura made, this group brought the hype for her, which eventually turned into a dance party led by the LATAMs 😂. Laura absolutely loved the energy, felt the support, and went on to hit one of the heaviest lifts she has hit in a year! The Squad: First time working together wasn’t too shabby! With some last-minute changes and a lot of cycling around, we were able to throw a solid team together for Co-Ed. These guys battled all weekend, worked extremely well together, and absolutely SOLD OUT for the snatches. This weekend, they really saw the potential they have for t

It’s Beach Brawl week…Raise your hand if I’ll see you there! 🏖️🙌 Competition week is not the week to try to lean out or “eat clean”. It’s time to fill the tank! ⛽️ I like to keep my meals simple and eat what I know my body responds well to. This is not the time to try new things or do things different. I start adding about 50g of carbs daily leading up to the event. Then more as it gets closer. When packing for competition I focus on these things: 🍎 Carbs! Carbs on king on comp days. You need fuel and you need it fast. Do not be scared of the more processed carbs and even candy (yes I buy Nerds and Sour Patch Kids!) to hit that quick fuel. That being said, make sure you have had them before and find what works best. 🍲 Keep meals simple and eat what you know your body tolerates well. You don’t wanna try that new spicy heavy recipe the night before competing only to find out it doesn’t sit well. 😂…am i right Hyrox? 🥩 Dinner on comp days will be higher in fat as most of your competition day you will be lower fat to not slow down your digestion. 🥤 Use supplements you know work with your body to help facilitie quick glycogen replenishment, rehydrate, and get your protein in. Same goes for Pre-workout…do not try a new one right now. A fueled athlete makes the best athlete, don’t let your training go to waste showing up on empty. Need some help fueling for your training and competitions? Comment “FUEL” below, and we’ll be in touch. #blacklisted #betheexception #fuel
