We are blown away by the love and support we received yesterday at our Launchapalooza! So many dear friends and valued collaborators helped us celebrate our new studio space. It was truly remarkable to see folks come through the door who we’ve worked with for almost 15 years, and others for less than a month, with the same joy and enthusiasm! Our cups are full, our hearts are 3x larger, and so is our plant collection 😉 IYKYK Thanks for coming out folks! Cheers to many more years of creating cool stuff together!

What are we building that creates value for the sector, for our clients, and for our own organizations? I attended a 2-day workshop led by Eleanor Beaton (Safi Media), to work on HKC Marketing and Akimbo alongside women building very different kinds of companies. Some of the themes raised questions that I continue to work with: * Are there clear strategies and plans across 3 year, 1 year, and immediate actions * Are our team members informed and aligned * What are we putting off because it does not feel urgent yet * What are delays costing * Is there an effective audience development or client acquisition system in place that matches the brand, values, and ethos * Is there a clear cash protocol throughout the organization * Can the organization function effectively without the leader involved in every decision These are business questions, and they are also sustainability questions. They are directly relevant to how I lead my companies and how we support arts and cultural organizations through audience development, market development, visibility, internal capacity, and sustainability. Grateful for the conversations, the perspective, the more than 50 women in the room, and the ones I got to spend time with, including some shown here: Emily Feairs, The Power Shift (repositioning senior leaders) Meaghan Beames, Beames CST Training Centre (infant craniosacral therapy & training) Nitya Wakhlu, Drawbridge Innovations (visual strategist) Dr. Dawn Cone, DSC Consulting Solutions (organizational psychologist & management consultant) Heather Nelson, BridgeRaise (corporate partnerships) Sreejata Chatterjee, HiVanya (AI product strategist) Angélique Binet, Social Media Love Inc. (visibility strategist) Moe Carrick, Moementum Inc. (organizational consultant) Natalie Duchesne, Connect2Knowledge Inc. (equity strategist) Christine Farrugia, Coaching with Christine (leadership strategy coaching) Sara Roach-Lewis, SRL Solutions (leadership infrastructure for nonprofit organizations) Susan Richards, Numbercrunch (financial operations) Jackie McCann-Scott, Lupin Planning Group (financial planning for women entrepreneurs)
