The GFRC stroke of luck happened again 👏
Torrential downpour before and thunder and lightning ⚡️ after. But between 6:00-6:35, we were in the clear.
Thanks to everyone that came out tonight. It really was a beautiful run.
Just an FYI: sun is down by 6:30 and reflective wear and/or headlamps will keep us all visible and safe for the following weeks to come.
See everyone next week!
Cheers 🍻

Thanks to everyone that came out!
We’ll see you next week.

It’s RACE seasonnnnnn!
Whoop whoop!
GFRC was spread out today 👏
First off, was Amy’s Race For The Lake in Bolton, which is such an incredibly technical, fun(?!?) trail 4.5 and 10 mile race in which we had some peeps compete and CRUSH in both.
Conditions were legit perfect and I think we recruited a few new run club peeps 🤗
Common Roots River Run for the Roots had a great showing and some real placements. You guys know you killed it and it looked like you had fun.
And lastly, the SPUD Run in Hartford! I took these pictures from Facebook, but it looks you guy had a great time :) enjoy the bag of potatoes!
Cheers to everyone that ran and volunteered today (thanks @carissaorourke15).

Always great to see news faces.
We’ll see everyone next week.
Cheers 🍻

Happy Tuesday!
And it was a glorious one.
Temps are cooling down and sunlight is limited. This makes it a pretty sweet time to pull out the fleeces and sweats.
Don’t forget to bring them with you to hang comfortably after the run. Also headlamps and vests will be needed soon too.
Thanks to everyone that came out tonight.
See you next week!
Cheers 🍻

Well.
The weather was accurate. At 8:00 AM, the rain started and didn’t stop.
Who really felt wet during this race anyways? Avoiding puddles meant using more energy.
I love gathering people for races. But this was our biggest one yet. So thankful that @irunsaratogahalfmarathon put this together. The course is lovely. The energy was ALIVE. And @gf_run_club brought such a positive vibe. Thank you to @tbelletc for taking the reins and starting the group.
Thanks to everyone that came out and cheered us on (@pelusiii36 and @lauren_judith_ . Thank you for the continued support and photographs (instagram less Andrew)in addition to our friends from @adkrunners that were spread out throughout the course.
I think everyone brought their A-Game. We should all be so proud of ourselves. It was not easy.

Truly, such a magical morning 💕

📸Latergram- Course Preview Run! 🌲🥇

Thank you to everyone who came out Sunday for another preview run! This group has become SO much fun — runners from Albany to Glens Falls, different run clubs, different training plans, all coming together to run, connect & see the course. ❤️

YES! We’re doing it again this Sunday! 🙋🏽‍♀️Who’s in? (Comment below or Tag an accountability partner!)

📍 Outside Canfield Casino in Congress Park
⏰ 7:00 AM (arrive a few minutes early)
🏃🏽‍♀️ Part of the route or the full route

With the race so close, I recommend choosing your mileage based on your training plan & letting your body taper. No need to run the full course!

Come meet someone new, have some fun & get a feel for what to expect on race day. 🏁

And we’re almost at 1,600 registered runners! 🤯

If you’re still on the fence, now’s the time to register! We’re getting everything ready for you! ❤️🏃🏽‍♀️

What an AWESOME morning! 🏃🏽‍♀️☔️

Thank you again to everyone who came out for our iRun Saratoga Half Marathon Preview Run! You all crushed it—and those little sprinkles were actually pretty refreshing! 😆💦

I’m already looking forward to doing it again next Sunday at 7 AM! 🙌🏽

Remember, you can make the distance work for YOU:
🏃🏾‍♀️ 4 miles
🏃🏻‍♂️ 7 miles
🏃🏽‍♀️ 9 miles
🏃🏿‍♂️ 10 miles
🏃🏼‍♀️ The full half marathon
🏃🏽‍♂️ Or add on extra miles for your full-marathon training!

Come run as much (or as little) of the course as fits your training. We’re here to get miles in, have fun, and get ready for race day together! ❤️

Race day is coming FAST! 🏁

Have an awesome week, everyone, and happy, healthy training! 💪🏽🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Feel free to tag @irunsaratogahalfmarathon & show us how your training miles are going!

Race to the Lakes did not disappoint!
What a perrrrrfect day for this.
Historically, this has been a very hot one.
This race is getting larger and more competitive.
If anyone is looking to increase their mileage on a moderate course, this race is for you.
The Adirondack Runners do such a great job.
Thank you to everyone that showed up! Most of us placed in our age groups and some cool cats really were close to the front 👀.
Remember,
Keep doing hard shit that happens to be kinda(!?!) fun, get in some cold water and eat baked goods.
