Fan favorite Vanda conquered the Boulderthon Marathon & this is one comeback journey we are excited to share! Vanda set the goal of running the Boulderthon Marathon while continuing to prioritize being a mom, her family & her career. Since having her son, she’s worked incredibly hard to regain her fitness & find new ways to enjoy the sport of running! In the lead-up to the race, personal challenges, health issues & plenty of other obstacles popped up. In classic Vanda fashion, she never once quit on herself. She continued to put in the work while remembering that marathon number 19 was about so much more than the finishing time. Vanda is a competitor & always will be. But she’s also learning that success doesn’t always have to be measured by the clock. Her effort throughout this training cycle was remarkable, and seeing her conquer a challenging marathon at altitude was incredibly inspiring! Perhaps the most special moment of the entire journey was seeing Vanda cross the finish line with her son in her arms. What an incredible reminder of everything this marathon represented! Vanda spends so much of her time supporting everyone else, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate her! Congrats on marathon number 19, Vanda! #spewaktraining
