⭐ HARVEST in the Press

Thank you to @houseandgardenuk for featuring HARVEST Contemporary Craft Fair curated by @stacey___hunter and the work of makers @joeginniffstudio @natalimanczak @emertumilty and @meudailmeudail in The Decorating Forecast.

‘Wonderfully exuberant, lively elements were much in evidence at Harvest - the showcase of contemporary craft hosted last October in Edinburgh by Craft Scotland. Though there's no practical reason for a wardrobe to be thatched, to behold Joe Ginniff's 'The Barn' is to delight in the preservation of heritage skills - and the gloriously unconventional use of them.’ House and Garden, Feb 2026

Evening Preview at @custom_lane
tonight! December 13th 5pm - 7pm

FRAGILE brings together multi-media works by @andrewradford.studio an artist who transforms everyday packaging and overlooked materials into carefully crafted works. Drawing on a long tradition of found-object art, Radford turns material we usually throw away into delicate pieces that ask us to look again at what we discard.

Behind the quiet scale and muted palette of these works sits a sharp political edge. Radford is fascinated—and frustrated—by the excess packaging that fills contemporary life, and his practice reflects both humour and anger at our relationship with waste. His compositions balance form, colour and line with precision, echoing the subtle storytelling and emotional tension found in his extensive archive of sketches.

The exhibition also reflects a more personal philosophy. For Radford, the word “fragile” applies as much to people and relationships as it does to parcels. Influenced by his parents’ economic habits and today’s overwhelming material footprint, these works invite us to reconsider our priorities, our environment and what we value.

An appreciation post for the incredible opportunity to be a part of Craft Scotland’s Harvest showcase. Thanks to everyone who visited or engaged with the event in one way or another. I am still in absolute awe of all the exceptional craftworks, beautifully curated into the space.

If you weren’t able to attend there is still the opportunity to explore an online 3D walk around, just follow the link in @craftscotland bio.

Dundee City Council Budget Consultation for 2026/27 📢

Dundee City Council have released a public budget consultation for the next financial year. UNESCO City of Design Dundee, many community organisations and fellow cultural organisations @dcadundee, @dundeerep + @scottishdancetheatre, @creative_dundee, and Dundee Heritage Trust (@discoverydundee + @verdantworksmuseum) are once again facing potential cuts.

We are incredibly proud of the projects we produce at UNESCO City of Design Dundee and the amazing designers, organisations and individuals we get to collaborate with; Dundee is proud to call itself a UNESCO City of Design. However, if you want these activities to continue then it's vital you contribute to this consultation. Dundee’s culture, community and access services are critical to the city’s wellbeing, economy and future.

We appreciate all your help and support - we can't do this without you ❤️

You can find the consultation at the link in our bio 🔗
