We spent the weekend celebrating @stage13org, so it seems fitting for today’s Senior Sunday post to take it all the way back to @blakely.white_official’s first show!

@bridgetalison choreographed Mulan Jr. for a camp at LRCA in 2019, and we immediately knew that our B needed to dive into theatre! Bridget has been there every step of the way (for both Blakely and me!) and last night as we listened to Blakely speak on why arts education is so important and has meant so much to her, she and I just cried together because this little Mushu dragon is who we both still see in our minds.

@3wire_chriswhite and I are so thankful for Bridget and the entire team at Stage 13, her teachers at school and everyone who supports her so well as she is chasing her dream - I will never find enough words and thank you will never be enough! 🩷🩷🩷

Y’all know we love our @stage13org family, and we had an amazing night celebrating their one year anniversary!

It’s not every day you find someone willing to go above and beyond for your kid, but we’ve been fortunate enough to find 13 of them who, over the last year, did just that and turned a dream into a reality.

Their tenacity, hard work, drive, and heart have touched so many lives in just 365 days, and I am so excited to see what happens next!

One year ago today, I made one of the best career decisions of my life to date.

Walking away from an environment that didn’t serve myself & others, then taking the risk to start something new was scary. There was uncertainty, doubt, and a lot of “what ifs.” But sometimes, the biggest risks lead you to exactly where you’re meant to be.

A year later, I can honestly say I am SO GRATEFUL I took that leap. The support, encouragement, and belief we’ve received over the last year has been indescribable. I’ve been reminded over and over again how important it is to surround yourself with people who genuinely want to see you succeed. This team at @stage13org truly like no other.

The biggest bonus of all? I get to wake up every day and do what I love with people I love more ❤️ the students, teachers, staff, board, and supporters have made every second worth it. Here’s to taking the risk, trusting yourself, leaving behind what no longer serves you, and having the courage to start something new.

One year down, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. ✨

best summer ever!!!

what a gift this summer has been!!! i got to spend the summer as an education intern with one of my best friends at @stage13org! thank you to stage 13 for an unforgettable and wonderful summer that i got to spend doing my favorite thing. the kids that attended all these camps from legally blonde jr. to the k-12th spotlight camps all shared so much passion and talent, and im so grateful i got to know all of them! it seriously was the best summer ever🥹💗☀️🎭

We had a great day selecting Thespian pieces and getting to do an Acting Workshop with @quinnstafriend at @stage13org with some help from Skyhawk Drama alum and now Stage13 PrePro and @parkviewtheatre Student @austin_h._bernard
