Mark your calendars! The Road Home Tour for the paperback of OLD SCHOOL INDIAN is coming.

Stopped at @stanzabooks in Beacon, NY on my weekend away. Such a cozy vibe, with great music, and an inclusive selection of books. Even the kids section was extremely diverse and as a black mother with mixed race children I love to see it.

They even had a Gender & Queer Studies and Reproductive Health feature shelf. 🙌🏾😍

The guy at the desk was very kind and personable as well. If ever you’re in town definitely stop in and check it out! 📚

This often just felt like a dream. One that would dissipate when the morning light pried my eyelids open. I love bookstores, booksellers, and librarians so this is an amazing moment in that dream realized.
