Some moments deserve to be remembered over and over again. 💙

Thank you to every young person, partner, volunteer, vendor, performer, supporter, and community member who showed up and poured into this year’s Kick Push Restore. These photos are a reminder of what’s possible when community comes together with purpose, love, and a commitment to creating safer spaces for our young people.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this day possible. Until next time... keep building, keep healing, and keep restoring. ✨🛹💙

The 6th Annual Kick Push Restore Anti-Gun Violence Rally was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with one shared purpose. From skateboarding, live performances, mentorship, healing conversations, and community resources to food, music, and fellowship, the day reflected the strength, resilience, and love that exists across Brooklyn. Together, we created a space where young people and families felt seen, supported, and inspired.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s rally a success. This was truly a collaborative effort made possible by the commitment of our community, partners, volunteers, vendors, performers, speakers, and every person who showed up to stand for peace. Together, we will continue building safer communities, investing in our young people, and proving that hope, healing, and opportunity will always be stronger than violence. 💛🛹

Brownsville, this one’s for the culture. 🛹

I’m honored to host the 6th Annual Kick Push Restore alongside @babygee.74 and an incredible lineup of special guests.

Join us as we celebrate life, push peace, and bring the community together through skating, music, art, and unity. We’ll also take a moment to honor my father on his birthday and remember the loved ones we’ve lost. 🕊️

July 23rd — don’t just hear about it, be a part of it. Tag who you’re bringing and let’s pack the park! 👇🏾

Honored to share insights at the Women’s Leadership Collective meeting, hosted by CCD in collaboration with Dr. Unique Starks and Maryam Muwwakil from STAR initiatives.

Leadership means accountability, standing on business, and not letting judgment overshadow intelligence. It’s about doing what others won’t. Credibility is essential. Sometimes you become a leader even when you don’t want to be one. Strive for good goals, and don’t let anyone’s doubt stop you. Believe in your potential and aim higher with each success.

Our brothers and sisters standing in solidarity with CCD, advocating for peace and community development to combat gun violence.

They emphasize the importance of community involvement, providing safe spaces for children, and organizing events in underserved communities for fun and safety.

They envision as CCD does, a safe summer where people can enjoy their neighborhoods without fear. This highlights the need for investments, participation and collaboration.

We cannot stress the significance of addressing gun violence and educating communities about their rights and safety. Ultimately, the aim is to create a violence-free environment, especially for youth, recognizing young people as key to finding solutions.

Meet Dr. Starks as she introduces real models in our youth, sharing their stories and the importance of our work. Through Project Restore Bedstuy, a year-long pilot program uniting two rival gangs, they learned to coexist and improve their neighborhood. Jason, once without an ID or a plan, now celebrates his first semester at Columbia University with a 4.0 GPA on a full scholarship. They are the credible messengers who stop violence.
