The Wedding People by Alison Espach 💍 #bookreview ★★★★★ (5/5) Read if you like: • Literary fiction • Sharp humor • Character driven stories • Chick lit Please check the TW before reading ⚠️ The Wedding People by Alison Espach truly surprised me. Literary fiction is not usually my go to genre, but I genuinely could not put this book down. It completely pulled me in!🤍 Even though it was marketed as romance, I did not feel like romance was the main focus and I actually loved that. Yes, there are love interests, but this story feels more about being human. It explores loneliness, friendship, found family, and how messy yet beautiful life can be. The emotional layers felt so real! Phoebe is such a memorable character. She is flawed, vulnerable, sometimes painfully honest, and she stayed in my head long after I finished the book. Watching her navigate everything felt intimate, like you are quietly rooting for her to choose herself. By the end, seeing her slowly love herself more made the whole journey feel worth it🫶🏼 One of my favorite things was the side characters. Every single one added depth to the story. Their interactions were sharp, funny, and meaningful! The dynamic between Phoebe and the bride especially was so good! @natashastbr mentioned that their banter genuinely reminded her of Rory and Paris from Gilmore Girls which I couldn’t agree more! The story starts a bit dark, but it slowly becomes lighter in a very natural way! The pacing was perfect and engaging, and I kept wanting more. I also really appreciated the open ended ending. It felt intentional and necessary, making the story linger even more! If you are looking for something character driven, funny, a little messy, and deeply human, I highly recommend this one🤍 Q: Have you read this? Or did I successfully influenced you to add The Wedding People to your tbr?🤭 #bookstagram #theweddingpeople #bookrecs #bookrecommendations

Spell of the Sinister tour schedule! Welcome to our tour of Spell of the Sinister by @daniellempaige from @bloomsburybooksus! The tour will take place from January 6th to January 12th, 2025. Two magical sisters. One more chance at revenge. . . . Ever since Cinderella disappeared with Prince Mather the queendoms have been in disarray. Now with her magical power completely unchecked, Galatea intends to exact revenge on humans for using the Entente. Her plan? Send Bari off to find a new prince and take over one queendom at a time. But Bari’s mission is complicated when South joins her and sparks begin to fly . . . Meanwhile, Farrow is on her own journey to reunite with Cinderella and Prince Mather in the first Queendom. Amid brewing conflict, Farrow grapples with her feelings for Mather, her friendship with Cinderella, and her loyalty to the Entente’s original purpose—to influence with helpful magic, never take total control. Once as close as sisters, Bari and Farrow now find themselves on opposing sides. Will malice win out, or will the next generation of Entente chart a new path to “happily ever after” for their magical coven of fairy godmothers? - - - #CPBT #BookTour #Books #BlogTour #Bookish #BooksBooksBooks #BookReview #BookBlog #booktour #NewRelease #SpellOfTheSinisterTour
