Our #LittleLearners were a part of history today as they witnessed the unveiling of the first of five “HOME” public art installations to be placed throughout Moore County! Many thanks to the Moore County Tourism Development Authority and Mac Metz of @starworksnc for such an amazing addition to the place we call HOME! #RobbinsNC #NMFRC #HopeAcademy #Home

Hello, Instagram! It’s been a little quiet over here, but for good reason. My residency at Starworks has been keeping me busy! I’ve been spending much of my time researching new ideas, experimenting, and making work in the studio. It’s also been wonderful being surrounded by so many talented artists and getting to share this experience with them. In the meantime, I have some exciting news to share! I’ve been selected for the 2027 Winter Residency at Penland School of Craft and invited to exhibit my work at NCECA 2027 in Baltimore! I’m grateful for these opportunities and for everyone who has supported my work along the way. It’s exciting to see where this journey is taking me. And there’s still one more big announcement on the horizon. I can’t wait to share it with you all! 👀

Leave a little room on the mantel. 🎃🍺 @starworksnc is bringing its Pumpkin Patch to Four Saints this Saturday, October 10, from 1–4 PM. Handblown glass pumpkins. Curled stems. Colors that catch the light. The kind of local art you’ll look forward to bringing out every fall. Bring your pumpkin-picking partner. Browse together. Find the one that makes you say, “That’s coming home with us.” Then grab a beer or wine or cider and settle in for some time together. @dalatstfood.nc will be serving delicious food at 2pm. It’s the first STARworks Pumpkin Patch pop-up at Four Saints, and we’ve got one afternoon to enjoy it. Send this to the person you want to spend Saturday with. Come pick something worth keeping. 🍻 @downtownasheboro @ashranchamber @theheartofnc #downtownasheboro #supportlocalart #drinklocalbeer #ncbeer #bestbrewery

Grogeewemee greenware, readying for my first-ever wood firing in November. One of my favorite forms so far, but the kiln gods will do with it as they may. I do love using @starworksceramics clay bodies. This weekend I’m at the NC State Farmers Market, Friday through Sunday, 10/9-10/11. Most likely you’ll find me on one of the grass areas due to the pumpkins, so I’ll confirm the location Friday morning. Mystery pots are back, alongside a seconds and clearance sale. All for a limited time.... The music is by @modernmoxieband , who I connected with at @carolinaindiefestival . Check them out! …….. #pottery #intuitiveart #ncpottery #kurinuki #texturetuesday

Sometimes adventures don’t always go according to plan. Mark and I ventured out to Star, NC so he could go to Starworks and make me a blown-glass pumpkin. We’re hoping to get back out there soon to pick it up, but apparently the trip left him inspired because when we got home, he made me a miniature pumpkin AND a miniature witch hat. I absolutely adore them. They are ridiculously cute. Our original plan was to spend the rest of the day wandering around Seagrove, stopping at different potteries, but the rain had other ideas. We did manage to make it to Kluba Ceramic so I could finally pick up the Crow Coffee mug I’ve been coveting. I didn’t get to meet the artist because she had the very important job of taking her new puppy for shots, but her little sister was incredibly sweet and helpful.
