A little introduction for those who are new around here. I’m Branka, the founder and principal stylist behind Blonde and Blue. I’m a wife, a mum, a business owner and an Aries. Which probably explains the strong opinions, high expectations and my complete inability to do anything by halves. I love beautiful spaces, incredible food, great hospitality and people who care about the little things as much as I do. I’m particular about the details, know exactly what I like (and what I don’t), and have never been particularly good at keeping my opinions to myself. But I care. A LOT. About my clients, the people I work with and making sure that what we create is every bit as good as I promised it would be. I believe a wedding should feel just as incredible as it looks. That good hospitality is never an afterthought. And that sometimes the best thing I can do for a client is tell them they don’t need another thing. Outside of weddings, I love a long lunch, a beautiful hotel, a good holiday and spending time with my family. Ideally, all four at once. Ten years into Blonde and Blue, I still get excited about the beautiful things, but it’s the people, the relationships and the trust that mean the most to me. So whether you’re planning a wedding, here for the pretty pictures or just enjoy someone with an opinion, welcome. A little stillness between shows at @comotreasury in Perth. Beautiful spaces, thoughtful details and an understated sense of luxury that makes it easy to settle in and hard to leave. Such a pleasure to return here after a night on stage — my own peaceful corner of the city for a few days. I said it at my show on Saturday night however if you’re visiting Australia from overseas then you must spend some time in Perth, especially at COMO The Treasury, for that authentic Australian experience and feel ✨

There is no perfect formula for how you should spend your wedding budget. And despite what you’ll find after approximately three minutes on Google, we don’t believe every couple should be allocating the same percentage of their budget to the same things. Your guest count matters. Your priorities matter more. If something isn’t important to you, you don’t have to spend money on it simply because you’re planning a wedding. If flowers are important to you, we’d rather create one incredible floral moment than spread the same budget across ten smaller arrangements nobody really notices. Your wedding budget shouldn’t be divided according to someone else’s idea of what a wedding should look like. Their freshly made range covers Sandwiches, assorted salads which vary per day and a cabinet of baked sweets. Their Croque Monsieur (oldie but goodie) with a decadent Bechamel sauce and Cheese and Continental Foccacia were my absolute favourites. Ten years ago, I would have given anything to work in this venue. Today, 80% of our weddings are held here. That’s a sentence I never imagined I’d be writing. For those who are new here, I’m Branka. I started Blonde and Blue in 2016 with a big vision, very high standards and a determination to create something I could genuinely be proud of. It’s taken 10 years of hard work, some difficult lessons, countless hours behind the scenes that nobody ever sees, and a whole lot of people believing in me along the way. And I think that’s the part that means the most. The clients who have trusted me with their biggest moments. The suppliers who have become friends. The relationships we’ve worked so hard to build and the opportunities that once felt completely out of reach. None of it happened overnight, and none of it happened on my own. And while Blonde and Blue has grown, some things haven’t changed. I’m still particular about the details. Still have very strong opinions. Still refuse to do anything by halves. These photographs might just look like another beautiful event. To me, they’re a reminder of just how far we’ve come. State Buildings. Wine, colour and conversation. In an era of AI slop, production and craft still matter. DGPR partnered with Apertunity to create four short films for the State Buildings, featuring Director of Wine Emma Farrelly. The series explores the Orange, Green and Blue editions of Wine Merchant’s Luncheon Series and the International Pinot Noir Tasting, bringing the ideas behind each experience to the screen. Emma brings a relaxed, conversational approach to wine, sharing her knowledge without overcomplicating the subject and making the finer details easy for viewers to follow. Her warmth, knowledge and personality became the heart of the series. Thoughtful direction, filming and editing helped those qualities come through, making each film an inviting introduction to the world of wine at the State Buildings.
