Barbers love saying they’ve “put their prices up”. Sound. But tell me this. If you were doing a £30 haircut in 30 minutes, you were making £60 an hour. If you now charge £45 but it takes you 45 minutes, you are still making £60 an hour. You have charged more. You have also worked longer to get it. And once you factor in extra product, the appointment overrunning, the client who turns up late and the fact you now have fuck all room in the day, you can actually be worse off. That isn’t a price rise. That is just a more expensive service taking up more of your life. The point isn’t to make your price list look premium. The point is to build a service that pays properly, gives you room to breathe and attracts clients you actually want to spend your day with. So before you chuck another tenner on everything, look at the last month properly: 👉 What did they pay? 👉 How long did it really take? 👉 What did it cost you? 👉 Do you actually want more of that work? Because if your diary is full and you still feel capped, the answer probably isn’t another late night or more fucking heads. I’m Aaron. I went from losing my first shop during COVID and cutting hair from a garage to working with Premier League footballers, building my own studio and creating brand opportunities through content, outreach and positioning. Now I show ambitious barbers how to build their name, attract better clients and create more from the craft. If you want to build a barbering career that gives you more than a full diary, Built From The Chair applications are open through the link in my bio. #barber #barberbusiness #barbermentor #barbereducation #premiumbarber barberlife personalbrand
