Coach @aniacii has stepped in at @steadfastmartialarts for the last several months — and has been awesome! We appreciate you coach and congrats on a great win!

What’s the best way to get ready to grapple? That’s right grappling! But scaled down. When I run classes, I like to use grappling as a method to get everyone’s mind and body ready for class.
Continuous games are a great way to do so. Continuous games; which are any game without a win condition for one or both players, allow players to explore movement without the fear or pressure of winning or losing.
I also always encourage students to try to breathe in and out through their nose (nasal breathing) to start practice with intentional and regulated breathing. I further challenge students to breathe through nose throughout practice.
