Round 2 of odds n ends posting from the last couple years with TL/Rx.

It had been a while since I’ve had one of these cupcakes. 🖤 DC 6/20/24

👋 Bumbershoot 👋

A friendly game of UNO in Seattle 🔪

I almost always do my little walks alone, but this day @jamcanman and @steadysounds decided to tag along on the four mile round trip journey to the Worlds Largest Laundromat. Turned out to not be the most exciting destination because it was just….a laundromat, only bigger 🤷🏻‍♀️ 9/15/24

I feel like we played the Sanctuary at Saint Andrew’s a million times in the early days. It was nice to finally play the big room 😇💫

Here’s some pics from the final TL/Rx shows of ‘26. I’m also gonna start posting some outtakes and things I didn’t get around to sharing over the last couple years. Here goes-
My good friend @knmcmillian gifted me the book The Ghosts Of Eden Park not too long ago and I loved it. Such a wild story that’s been lost to time. Had to visit Eden Park on my return to Cincinnati 👻

Every time I play the Cincinnati area I try to walk from one state to the other, usually on the Roebling Bridge. Did The Purple People Bridge this time and it was lovely. 💜

Downtown Cincinnati from The Purple People Bridge

Mammoth Music & Arts Fest in Newport, KY

Our adorable FOH, @bakedtheband who deserves all the props💫

Hopewell Culture National Historical Site

Chillicothe, OH 🐮

Somehow forgot two pics from my Hocking Hills journey, this one of the natural bridge at Rock House

And this one of the lower falls at Old Man’s Cave

🎃🎃🎃🎃

It’s always a good day when you get to hang with Jay Demko. And you know you’re in good hands when he’s working the show! 🤘

If you find yourself in Columbus, I can’t recommend Pierogi Mountain enough. And if you do find yourself there, I hope it’s on karaoke night 🎤🏔️

Did not know that there was an amazing Japanese market in Ardmore 🇯🇵 🌱

It’s always odd playing a non-R5 affiliated show in Philly, but Danielle and everyone at Ardmore Music Hall made it a blast. 💥

Got to stop by @jennifertroktattoos new shop at The Salt Shed in Chicago @deluxetattooelston It’s the best, she’s the best 💫

Back in March of last year we got to share some stages with the great @novaone_ this was from our last show together in Northampton. Hope we get to rock together again in the near future!

My two favorite residents of Western Massachusetts. 💞

Highlights from @therealbratmobile ‘s recent shows. What a privilege to move and make music and feel the love.

In San Francisco, we were able to play two goodbye (for now) shows at Bottom of the Hill, one of our favorite places in the world because of the amazing staff and the community they’ve nurtured for the last three decades. In LA there’s a similar vibe at Lodge Room and the room is so beautiful and special. The fact that LA showed up with stage diving warmed my cold, old heart. And in Chicago we got to play Riot Fest and share the stage with Iggy Pop and The Sex Pistols before the rain soaked a lot of the rest of the weekend. We also played the Empty Bottle with our friends and DC legends Hammered Hulls and it felt like a family reunion.

At every show, I would look out and take a breath to appreciate the fact that we five humans and the awesome people who work with us on our crew, at our label and booking agency, can connect with hundreds and sometimes thousands of people who just want to feel music.

There might be shortcuts in some places, but we started in a basement at a time when there wasn’t any AI, no Google Maps, no email or mobile phones; we had to do it with pen and paper, USPS, calling cards and answering machines. Seeing people appreciate what we do remains nothing short of thrilling.

It also felt amazing to be playing live while so many other amazing women are on tour with mostly sold-out shows too. Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, The Linda Lindas, Team Dresch, Phoebe Bridgers, Calamity Jane, Robyn, Liz Phair, Heavens to Betsy, Olivia Rodrigo, Lily Allen, TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, L7, Doja Cat, and so many more. The commercial recognition for all of these artists from so many different generations is another signal that there might be something to be optimistic about while there is so much cynicism abounding.

When we wrap up our annual jaunts, we never know what’s next. So when and if we start plotting, I’m sure I’ll have the same anxieties about whether it’s all worth it. I’ll read this and look at the photos again and I’m sure, goddesses willing, we’ll do it again.
