A love letter to S + A. 🤍

On the 17th March, we met virtually for the first time.

Four months later, I stood at the back of your ceremony and watched the two of you get married.

Not to the wedding I had planned.

Not to the wedding anyone else had imagined.

To your wedding.

Every detail felt like a reflection of the two of you.

From the Sunday roast, to the handmade VHS place names, to Zanu proudly carrying the rings, nothing was there because it was a trend. It was there because it meant something.

My job was never to change your ideas.

It was to take everything you'd already dreamed up, hold all the moving parts, and quietly make sure it happened exactly as you'd imagined.

So while you were laughing with your favourite people, soaking up every moment and looking at each other with so much love...

...I was exactly where I wanted to be.

In the background.

Making sure the only thing you had to think about was each other.

Thank you for trusting me with such an important chapter of your story.

It was an absolute privilege.

Sun-drenched gardens, a stunning country house, and a love story I can’t wait to bring to life ✨

This July, I’ll be leading a ceremony for an amazing creative couple who carry something deeply assured between them.

There’s a calmness in the way they are together. No need to prove, no need to perform. Just a sense of having found exactly where they are meant to be.

Their story moves with intention. Thoughtful, measured, and full of meaning in the spaces between words.

My role is to listen closely and then to speak it back. To create a ceremony that reflects not just what they say, but who they are when they stand side by side.

It’s already something very special.

Every ceremony I create is completely personal, and this one is shaping up to be something truly special. Counting down the days until I stand with this lovely couple and tell their story in a way that feels completely them.

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, heartfelt ceremony in a setting like this… you know where to find me 🌿

Sketches for Light: Kotodama and the Power of Communication

Urban dance isn’t just about moves and styles—it’s a way to explore and express different forms of communication.
It’s not about intellectual exchange but about heartfelt connection: a dialogue between your spirit, your unique flavor, and the people around you.
Too often, we lose ourselves in digital communication, filtered through the narrow lens of algorithms that create tiny worldviews like a rabbit hole.

I filmed this footage eight years ago, but somehow it never made it through the editing process.
Now, it has become part of my current research into how dance fosters an inward journey.
Dance offers so much more than competition and technique - it’s about discovering a wide spectrum of qualities that enrich our lives and connect us to ourselves and others.
