Ever wonder how we came up with these gorgeous prints? If so, check out our story below!

Flowers make us happy! And our first edition floral puffers are all about the happy. They are colorful and cheery and brighten up even the darkest, coldest days. Coat de Fleur partners and sisters Milari and Stefanie Hare enlisted the help of friend, artist and print designer Peggy Stanley to create the first edition prints for their Garden Collection. Inspired by their collective love of all things floral the sisters and Peggy forged ahead with luscious floral designs. We launched with seven pretty prints that are light and airy or boldly colorful. Milari, a clothing designer and manufacturer has years of experience developing trend setting prints and analyzing the elements of prints that make them a best seller. We think she’s hit a homerun with this collection, and we’ve already sold out of three sumptuous prints, so don’t wait to order.

What fabulous new colors, sister Stefanie, is using this year at their beach cabin. This classic Panabode with notty pine paneling just always seemed right with her red geraniums, lobelia, and wasabi coleus but this year it got a refresh. Glorious purple petunias, and magenta dinner plate dahlias had a party with the traditional reds of petunias and geraniums. The calla lilies are a wonder in the front bed at 5 feet tall. I deadheaded before the photo and there are as many little buds hiding in that statuesque foliage. And what better place to stash some yet to be planted goodies than the Weber? A suggestion from my 92 year old mother.

To celebrate International Women’s Day we thought now would be a great time to introduce the women behind @coatdefleur!

We are a pair of vivacious sisters who share a love of gardening and flowers, we have learned along the way in life what makes people happy. Our hope is that these coats will spread a little joy and provide a whole lot of happiness!

Stefanie is a marketing guru who has worked for Fortune 500 companies and non-profits and most recently she has been the owner of @corksandcanvasevents for the past 12 years. Stefanie has worked with dozens of local artists to spread the joy of learning to paint to tens of thousands of participants. Stefanie’s superpower is her creativity, which among other things has allowed her to launch two businesses.

Milari was Vice-President of Design & Merchandising for a women’s clothing company for 35 years. She now finds herself inspiring thousands on how to create their own original works of art through teaching @corksandcanvasevents events. Milari’s @gigis.gardens is positive proof that she knows her way around the garden. Milari’s superpower without a doubt is her design skills.

We hope that you come along with us on our newest adventure!
